Bahrain is very small country (33 islands) and I live by the ocean so if you are looking for quit place but not far away from the action (5 Minutes to Bahrain fort, 15 minutes to the national museum, 10 minutes to the souk) then you are at the right place. (please note that distance estimations are based on driving time)
I live by myself but, my friends are usually over.. I have two bedrooms, I will offer you the master, it's big room with private bathroom, Internet WiFi, and it has two access one is private ( to the backyard with porch for smokers or maybe coffee or drinks) and the other door is throughout the house so you could choose which one to (website hidden), with satellite channels, movies collections, music system, home theater all in the living room, fully equipped kitchen, , car park is free, and I have two hammocks in my yards!
There is a bus stop 15 minutes walk. But it is not the way we do it here. . It's just like the States everyone should have his car. Just next door is the country club (150 meter away) where you can get to choose between three bars and restaurants.
Or you may choose to go walking by the cost line as I live 300 meters away and if the weather is okay I could take you to a very good snorkeling spot where you could see many types of fishes.(please let me know in advance if you are interested so I could arrange for it and please bring your own snorkeling stuff to avoid renting them)!
Otherwise go for a horse riding across the vegetable farms all the way to the historical famous Bahrain fort along the coastline.
Do you want to rent a bicycle or a car? You may rent one and I'll arrange for it in advance if you like (just let me know)
Taher may start out your host, but he'll end up your friend. He was just so gracious. We met his friends and shared a couple meals together and enjoyed great conversation.
The large room we stayed in had a private bath and was furnished with a desk and armoire in addition to a bed. There was a door in the bedroom leading to the fenced back yard. There was ample (free) street parking, which was nice since we had a rental car.
We really enjoyed our stay with Taher - the house was nice and he (and his friends) were really great.
Taher went out of his way to make my 2-night stay in Bahrain an enriching, comfortable, and interesting experience, even when he just returned home from a long overseas trip. It's one of my best airbnb experience ever.
Being hosted by Taher during my stay in Bahrain was an absolute pleasure...from the first to last minute. I was happy he was able to pick me up from the airport, had time to show me around town...and we made it to the beach! Great guy to talk to...especially about travel experiences. Has loads of information about his country and can pass this on in a very liberal way. We had a fun evening with his really nice friends. Nice guy, clean place, powerful air-con and...soon there will be a swimmingpool in the garden...yeah! Thanks for everything Taher...I'll be back !!!
I had a wonderful time with Taher. He is a kind and intelligent gentleman and he did his utmost to help me out while I was in Bahrain, including arranging to pick me up at the airport and driving me around to some of the sights.
I am grateful for having met Taher.
I had a great stay at Taher place. Taher is a keen host, was available to pick me up at airport, and all necessary to get to his place. I had my own transportation, and easy to get there. The place is clean and relaxing atmosphere. Definitely recommend it to anyone willing to chill and enjoy Bahrein.
Thanks again Taher.
A top AirBnB stay in my books. Taher is a great host and really makes you feel welcome. He is fun to hang out with, is wickedly smart, funny as hell, and really gives a sense of what Bahrain is all about. I was lucky he had some time to spend with me and saw more of the city than I would have seen otherwise. I hope to visit Bahrain again, but only if I can stay at Taher's!
