The apartment is located in a nice and quiet neighbourhood in Kitsilano. It's perfect for a trip to Downtown, the beach or just to shop along Broadway. We'll provide you with a cosy sleeping couch for two, a nice kitchen with a dining area and a clean bathroom.
Sebastian and I live together in that nice little apartment. The hardwood floor and the cassette ceiling make the living room cosy, unique and personnel.
Eventhough I offer you a sofa bed, it's as comfortable as a normal bed, where two people can easily sleep on. Your bedroom is also equipped with a TV an armchair and a window bench.
The living room has a door to the hallway, which can be closed for more privacy. To the kitchen there's a small open walkthrough, which can be closed by a curtain.
You can use the kitchen, dining room, bathroom and laundry room ($1.50 coin laundry machine). Of course you have free access to the WLAN.
I can provide pillows, bed sheets and towels.
If you need some space in the fridge, just let me know and you get your own shelf.
Parking is free on the street, usually there is always a spot open.
Interaction with Guests
If you want to, we can cook something or just drink a beer or wine together. Depending on my schedule, I can show you around or at least provide you with some sightseeing or shopping tips. I also have some maps and travel guides (in english), which you can use to plan your day.
Kitsilano is great. It has a nice beach to hang out, you can walk from there to Granville Island, you can shop at West 4th Avenue or enjoy a beer in a pub on West Broadway.
If you want to see some more from Vancouver, it's easy to get to Downtown, UBC, Richmond, Burnaby or airport.
But you can also stay in the quiet neighborhood and relax by reading a book in a cafe, on the beach or at the apartment.
To take the bus is the easiest way to get around. Bus 16 takes you right to Downtown or to Broadway, where bus 99 leaves every four minutes. That bus brings you to Granville, Commercial, Cambie or Main Street, where you can go shopping or take the Skytrain to move on to Metrotown or the airport. In the other direction the 99 takes you to Point Grey and UBC.
The best way to get here from the airport is to take the Skytrain to King Edward, hop off and hop on the bus 33. You have to get off at Arbutus and just have to walk one block to our place.
Every guest will be treated like a friend, but therefore we want you to be a considerate and respectful guest.
Pets are not allowed.
Smoking is prohibited on the whole property.
Excellent host! I can speak highly about the level of care and curtsey. Everything was organized perfectly. Defiantly I'll recommend them to my friends and I'll be looking forward to see them again.
We were greeted by Sebastian with a warm smile, following a tour of the house, feeling very welcomed.
Sebastian is a very considerate host, easy to chat to and respected our privacy. Welcomed us to his food and invited us to a home-cooked meal.
The room was clean, stylish and cosy -exactly as pictured. Fold out futon was bigger than I expected. There were even chocolates on our pillows to greet us!
The neighbourhood was peaceful, very family picturesque.
Would definitely stay again! :)
Stephanie and Sebastien were great hosts. They made us feel very welcome in their lovely home. The bed is extremely comfy and the room was very spacious as well as the whole house being beautifully decorated and furnished. She is very helpful especially for newcomers to the area such as ourselves, even down to her small touches of maps and guidebooks in the room.
A great area also, bus stop within 100 yards of the front door and Main Street for shopping and eating only a couple blocks away.
Stephanie and Sebastian were welcoming and amazing hosts! They invited me to their friend's house warming party.
I had a really good time at their comfortable place. The quite room was very restful. I recommend to everyone this accommodation. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality!
Stephanie and Sebastian are the sweetest persons on earth, I have been at their place just for a couple of nights, and I have not spent much time at their house, but I always felt like home. Especially Stephanie has been the most caring host I have ever met, even waking up at 5am the day of my leaving to tell me good bye, which I really appreciated. The neighborhood is very nice and very well connected to Vancouver downtown night and day by bus
They were the best hosts ever!! Their help was really nice, made me feel at home, and they are just such kind hospitable people. My first nights in Vancouver were at their place, and because this area is quite challenging to settle, it now makes me realize how comfortable their place was. Had a great time there, and very happy that I met them. Their couch is really comfortble, and the location of the house is just perfect!
I stayed with Stephanie and Sebastien for two nights while on a business trip. Their place was clean and comfortable and they were incredibly welcoming! This trip was my first time in Vancouver and they had lots of resources (maps etc.) for helping me figure out what to do with my extra time. The pull-out couch was really comfortable and the space was a great size. Their apartment is also in a very central location which made it easy for me to get around by bus. Overall, staying with them was one of the highlights of my trip to Vancouver! I would definitely stay with them again and highly recommend it to others!
Some of the things you say about Germans are true. I'm reliable, always on time and everything has to make sense to me. But thanks to my halfasian roots, I don't take everything to serious. I'm open minded, love to travel and like meeting new people.
Till now I mainly travelled through Europe, Southeast Asia, some states in the US and now I live in Vancouver. Some of the greatest things I experienced is jetskiing in Vietnam, scubadiving in the Philippines, surfing in Bali and hospitality all over the world. Hopefully I can pass this hospitality on to my guests.
