Cosy couch in charming Kitsilano

Apartment - Shared room · West 15th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6J 4P7, Canada

The apartment is located in a nice and quiet neighbourhood in Kitsilano. It's perfect for a trip to Downtown, the beach or just to shop along Broadway. We'll provide you with a cosy sleeping couch for two, a nice kitchen with a dining area and a clean bathroom.

The Space

First of all my boyfriend and I live together in that nice little apartment. Most of the furnitures are vintage pieces, which make my apartment cosy, unique and personnel.
Eventhough I offer you a sofa bed, it's as comfortable as a normal bed, where two people can easily sleep on.
The living room has a door to the hallway, which can be closed for more privacy. To the kitchen there's a small open walkthrough, which can be closed ba a curtain.

Guest Access

You can use the kitchen, dining room, bathroom and laundry room (coin laundry machine). Of course you have access to the WLAN.
I can provide pillows, bed sheets and towels.
If you need some space in the fridge, just let me know and you get your own compartment.
Parking is free on the street and usually there is always a spot open.

Interaction with Guests

If you want to, we can cook something or just drink a beer or wine together. Depending on my time, I maybe can show you around or at least provide you with some tips for sightseeing. I also have some maps and travel books (in english), which you can use to plan your day.

The Neighborhood

Kitsilano is great. It has a nice beach to hang out, you can walk from there to Granville Island, you can shop at West 4th Avenue or enjoy a beer in a pub on West Broadway.
If you want to see some more from Vancouver, it's easy to get to Downtown, UBC, Richmond, Burnaby or airport.
But you can also stay in the quiet neighborhood and relax by reading a book in a cafe, on the beach or at the apartment.

Getting around

To take the bus is the easiest way to get around. Bus 16 takes you right to Downtown or to Broadway, where bus 99 leaves every four minutes. That bus brings you to Granville, Commercial, Cambie or Main Street, where you can go shopping or take the Skytrain to move on to Metrotown or the airport. In the other direction the 99 takes you to Point Grey and UBC.
The best way to get here from the airport is to take the Skytrain to King Edward, hop off and hop on the bus 33. You have to get off at Arbutus and just have to walk one block to our place.

  • Thank you Stephanie and Sebastian for sharing your very clean, small home with us. The sofa bed was very comfortable and the frequent bus services to the city, right outside, kept us dry. A very convenient and cozy solution for us.

  • Living at Steph's place was just so great! Perfect location, easy to access downtown! Stephanie was a great host! I would come back anytime!

  • I loved my stay in Vancouver, and so much of it was due to Stephanie's wonderful hospitality. She's a sweetheart, and so is Sebastian, and they were extremely helpful with ways to negotiate the city. The room in the house was charming, private, and comfortable, and The Kitsilano neighborhood is vibrant and exciting. By staying there, I learned a lot about living simply. Definitely a five-star experience. Thanks, y'all!

  • I was supposed to be in Stephanie's apartment for two days but finally I stayed one more night. It was a pleasure to meet her and Sebastian as well, and spend more time with both of them. They are very nice, helpful and friendly and we also met together again a few more times to have dinner. I strongly recommend their apartment if you are planning to visit Vancouver. They know how to make you feel like if you were at your own home.

  • Stephanie is very nice and welcoming host, this is really bang for your buck.
The room is really big, you get a big couch, and Netflix, very close to the bus stop, you are just 15 mins away from downtown.

  • This was my first Airbnb experience and I had a wonderful time. Stephanie was extremely helpful throughout my stay, providing helpful guides to things to do in Vancouver, recommendations for restaurants to try, and how to best get around the city. The apartment was very comfortable and close to public transportation, and I really enjoyed talking with Stephanie and Sebastian the couple evenings that I stayed. I definitely would return the next time I'm in Vancouver!

  • Steph was a great host! She was warm and friendly and was happy to let me use whatever I needed in the kitchen. The sofa bed was more comfortable than most sofa beds I've used in the past, and the apartment was very clean. I'd definitely stay here again!

  • Such a great place to stay. Stephanie was so helpful in directions and transit, and she and Sebastian were so kind and welcoming when I got there. The couch was comfy and they had blankets to spare if I needed more or less. They offered me food and drink to make sure I was nourished after my travels and were quiet during the night. Would stay again!!

About
Some of the things you say about Germans are true. I'm reliable, always on time and everything has to make sense to me. But thanks to my halfasian roots, I don't take everything to serious. I'm open minded, love to travel and like meeting new people. Till now I mainly travelled through Europe, Southeast Asia, some states in the US and now I live in Vancouver. Some of the greatest things I experienced is jetskiing in Vietnam, scubadiving in the Philippines, surfing in Bali and hospitality all over the world. Hopefully I can pass this hospitality on to my guests.
