We really enjoyed our experience at the Beach House and are looking forward to coming back. We were 4 adults, and we enjoyed the beautiful view, peaceful environment and lovely house. Laura was extremely quick to answer any questions and accommodate us. We especially liked the artwork throughout the house! We enjoyed sitting on the deck and beach walks. Overall a great place to spend a weekend or more!
Laura is an excellent host who made our stay truly memorable. When, due to a fire-ban, charcoal briquets became a less-than-perfect means to cook the steaks we had brought, Laura's friend Alice was kind enough to lend us the use of a gas BBQ. The house is beautiful, and only a short walk from a nice pebbly beach on the sound.
All in all, a great experience.
We had a wonderful weekend in Laura's home. We were welcomed with a sweet note, a bottle of wine and candy for the kids (everyone was happy). The house was very comfortable and clean with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed our trips to the beach and the play area. A great break from the city!
Anne made us feel welcomed. We loved the house, lots of room. Pictures didn't show the upstairs room (which the kids loved). Location is great, easy walk to the beach.
Our time at Laura's home on Harstine Island was everything we expected. The home was comfortable, welcoming, peaceful and well appointed.
The views from the living room, kitchen dining area and deck were amazing. The beach is just a short walk from the house. However, for people with young children it is helpful to know that you can not actually visualize the beach from the deck (you can not send your children to the beach and supervise them from the deck).
The access to the private community's ammenities including the pool, hot tub, tennis courts and hiking trails were nice perks.
We were warned ahead of time that there wasn't much in the way of nearby groceries or restaurants, so we did bring our food for the week with us which worked out well.
Everythng was ready for us when we arrived, and there was prompt attention to our inquiries.
The house is beautiful. It is in a very quiet community, so it's perfect for you to relax. I loved walking on the beach. We bought firewood and had a fire in the firepit by the water one night. Fun! If you have questions about the place, Laura replies promptly.
It was so wonderful to stay again at Laura's home. Easy to find, very clean and welcoming. We had everything we needed and Ann was there to answer any questions. This was our second time staying at Laura's. We enjoyed the walks on the beach and views of Mt Ranier. The neighborhood is quiet and people are friendly.
About the Host, Laura
My globetrotting life is your win, because I love to share my favorite places in the world with like-minded folks! Our family's time is split between the Puget Sound, Alaska, and my original home country of Finland. Ask me about the great outdoors, the Northern Latitudes, or flying, and chances are I won't shut up.
I look forward to hosting you and those loved by you, and will do my best to help you enjoy the life out there (or here) to its fullest!
