The Space

Awesome, large (86m2) two bedroom apartment in Kamppi, smack in the center of Helsinki. The place is spacious, bright, and great view to the city. The apartment has minimalist interior design, it was stylishly and completely renovated in 2012. It has everything one needs for a comfortable living. Since I live abroad at the moment, I am renting the apartment with everything in it, WiFi Internet, sound system, large screen TV. The apartment has one small bedroom and one large bedroom separated from the living room by large, old style doors. There is a bathroom with shower and WC and a secondary small WC. The kitchen is large and equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, blender, coffee machine, toaster.

Kamppi is the bus transportation hub of Helsinki, the main bus station is 5 minutes away, main railway station 10 minutes away. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops, all within a few minutes walk.

Helsinki downtown parking can be a bit challenging at times. Although you can park anywhere on the street in the neighborhood and you will always find a parking space in the end, it might be so that sometimes, especially in the late evening, it might take few minutes of driving around until you find one. During the summer vacation period, mid-June to mid-August, the situation is not as bad. Street parking during Mon-Fri 9-21 costs 2€/h.

Getting Around

The apartment is within 5 minutes walk from Kamppi metro station and main bus hub of Helsinki. The main railway station is two tram stops away via tram number 9.

From airport you can take the "Finnair bus"(regardless of airline you are flying) to the railway station. The Finnair bus ticket is 6.3€ and valid only for that bus ride, which takes about 30-35 minutes.

Alternatively the bus 615, that leaves you also at the main railway station. The bus trip takes about 35-40 minutes. The regular bus ticket costs about 5€ and it is valid for 1,5h for other means of transportation too.

The taxi from the airport to the flat costs around 45€ and the trip takes about 30 minutes.

In case you decide to walk, here is the map route from the railway station to the apartment:
