The Space

Please note that there is (email hidden) provided with the home.

This home is nestled in a five star for walking, tourist attraction and feeling like a part of a thriving community known as Capital Hill/ Cheeseman Park. The Capitol Hill neighborhood is influenced by its proximity to the Colorado State Capitol, Downtown and its northern boundary, East Colfax Avenue.
Cited as one of the most cosmopolitan neighborhoods in Denver, well known as a haven for artists and bohemians. There are numerous restaurants, clubs, bars, stores, concert venues, and other cultural amenities in the community. This is an conscious home that provides locally sourced produce and products from organic chocolate to even a vegan chef.
In the area the Esquire Theater presents national to international independent films. On East Colfax Avenue two concert venues (The Fillmore and the Ogden), and numerous late-night bars, coffee shops, restaurants, stores and clubs on the street. During the day, lobbyists and politicians from the Colorado State Capitol can be seen in the restaurants and bars of the neighborhood.

This 1-bathroom condo situated in a building from 1920’s is an oasis for the traveler seeking peace and calmness. My home is decorated in simple furniture from Indonesia, Asia and beyond. One-of-a-kind art pieces compliment to the loft style home in the middle of desirable neighborhood. I so appreciate the sunny days the light bathes the condo with a glow, and the wintertime the snow-covered pine tree looks like something from a post card. A perfect home away from home to enjoy a book, or spend time on the internet, or spending time with family and friends.

Your home away from home is a short walking distance to a variety of popular attractions-Whole Foods, King Soopers, and Safeway, coffee shops, restaurants and the Esquire Theater. Walk or run. or walk the dog to Cheeseman Park in our 3oo plus sunny days weather 5 blocks away. Downtown Denver is a short seven to ten minute drive, or a twenty minute walk, for those who enjoy sightseeing. By bus, the #10, #8 and #12 can transport you to downtown Denver. By the way the #10 bus, passes in front of the building.

  • Madera was a very good host and answered all my questions in advance in a speedy manner. There were 3 lockboxes at the front entrance so it took awhile to figure out which one went to Madera's condo when I first arrived. I almost locked myself out of the inside door the first day because the lock button was in the lock position, and I didn't realize it! The key only unlocks the bolt.

  • Madera's apt is perfectly located for me in the heart of Capital Hill / Cheesman Park and walking distance to all of what is important: the park, great food, coffee houses and around the corner to one of my best friend's apt. Communication w/Madera was timely, clear, friendly and helpful. Her team jumped high to provide a nice experience for my stay. The apt has great light and an open atmosphere w/interesting artwork. It was a fine home although a brief stay.

Textile artist and designer for (website hidden) (Brooklyn, New York)
Four years ago, I moved to Brooklyn, New York from Denver to live with my husband. My home in New York, and Denver shows my practice of living an eco, organic, natural and conscious life style. It's simple. As an eco-conscious fashion and textile designer, my lifestyle brand, MERELYME focuses on creating jewelry, accessories, and gifts from recycled paper. My home in Denver, celebrates my enjoyment of living life to the fullest. My collection of unusual artwork, and solid teak furniture compliment my name, Madeira in Spanish means "wood." There's great energy in the space that allows the student or the master teacher to be at peace while practicing meditation or yoga, Five things I can't live without: 1. Air and my husband 2.Water 3.Smiles 4. Great attitude 5. Belief in peace My hope is that who ever stays at my home will be relaxed, and appreciate life! Peace to you,
