This was my very first experience with AirBNB. Madera made this experience a great one. She made me feel welcome since the day prior to arrival. Her staff that provided my key and instructions was very kind and professional. The apartment was beautifully decorated and smelled amazing. The oil infuser was a nice surprise. The location was very convenient for me and quick ride to the convention center. If traveling through Denver again, I would book with Madera.
This apartment was super cozy and in a great neighborhood. Everything about the apartment is exactly how it was pictured and it smelled great. The greeter that met us was very kind and knowledgeable about the area. Madera was very responsive and detailed about everything. We had a good time in Denver.
The apartment looked like the pictures. The bed was comfortable. We did not cook in the kitchen at all. The bathroom/shower pressure was fine. The neighborhood was nice around the apartment, but walking down Colfax street at night is not recommended. We decided to walk downtown in the afternoon via Downing Street and turned left onto Colfax. There were lots of shady characters. We ended up driving downtown and paying for parking or taking a cab.
Madera's apartment was just as described & so nice!
The concierge had to wait like an extra hour & a half for me because the rental car company took forever & I had never driven in Denver traffic before so I misjudged. He was so nice about it & just assured me to drive safely.
Parking was tight there but I did pay for a spot, a friend who came to get me for dinner had nowhere to park.
This was my first time using airbnb & Madera is so very attentive. I walked to two different grocery stores & a coffee shop nearby.
I was a little confused where to put recyclables such as plastic containers, toilet paper rolls. And there was more noise from other apartments than I expected, but easily adjusted. Thank you for the nice experience.
We had a great time and everything was as we expected. The location was easy to get to and had lots of things to see in walking distance. Madera is very professional, helpful, and available. It was my first time using Airbnb but she made it easy for us. Thanks again for the hospitality.
About the Host, Madera Elena
Four years ago, I moved to Brooklyn, New York from Denver to live with my husband. My home in New York, and Denver shows my practice of living an eco, organic, natural and conscious life style. It's simple. As an eco-conscious fashion and textile designer, my lifestyle brand, (website hidden) focuses on creating jewelry, accessories, and gifts from recycled paper. My home in Denver, celebrates my enjoyment of living life to the fullest. My collection of unusual artwork, and solid teak furniture compliment my name, Madeira in Spanish means "wood." There's great energy in the space that allows the student or the master teacher to be at peace while practicing meditation or yoga,
Five things I can't live without:
1. Air and my husband 2.Water 3.Smiles 4. Great attitude 5. Belief in peace
My hope is that who ever stays at my home will be relaxed, and appreciate life!
Peace to you,
