very good place, not so far to the subway (BART)
the house is a little far away from the downtown.but the host very nice, the bed very comfortable.people live here are very friendly, they help me a lot, took me sightseeing
It was a wonderful stay. The house was very clean and nicely arranged The host and roommates were very friendly and we had great time We have a monthly party and we also celebrated my birthday! the house is also centrally located !
During my stay Maria organized a get together for this house and another one close by where she also rents out a couple of rooms, which was very nice. She's a good host who can be reached by phone anytime and she responds to any questions I had during my stay. The bed was nice and there was regular cleaning taking place.
Everyone who lived there was super nice, and especially Steve helped me with recommendations on where to go and what to see and where they had good stores. For me that was very helpful.
The neighborhood was very quiet, but the only fast food restaurant was a KFC/Taco Bell. However there are a lot of burrito places all the way along Mission St. BART is also a 15 min walk away, meaning about 25-30 min will take you to downtown SF with regular and frequent trains. The airport is a bit further away, but also serviced by the BART station. The 14 bus also has a station about 7 min away on Mission St. but I would not recommend taking the bus through the Mission district.
Along Mission St there are also quite a few laundromats and Asian markets, though I didn't frequent any of them since I worked within walking distance of Whole foods, Safeway and Walgreen's.
Would recommend and stay again.
Maria is an amazing host, she is very friendly and helpful and knows how to handle things quickly and properly.
The place and envioroment is fun and relaxing. It reminds me of staying in a college dorm. You can meet lots of interesting people and make connections. The choice is yours.
i have a very good travel in this house, this convenient, to go to down town just 25 minute, i just saw Maria once, but i meet very nice man in the house, if i have chance go SF next time, i will chose this house again :))
I had a nice experience at Maria's place therefore i extended my stay there. Maria is a nice host, always reachable by phone and keeps fixing the the place and make it comfortable for her guests.
My only concern during my stay was about security as there are enough people staying rather permanently in the house apart from the temporary guests and till the time i was there, there was no place to lock some of your belongings. I had NO problem of any kind as the people i met where nice and polite and most of them i guess from Philippines.
I would stay there again.
The house is about 40 min from downtown but there are frequent buses 2 blocks away which makes it convenient.
I already shared my opinion in detail in previews review. I extended my stay at Maria's place and this means it was really ok for me :)
Had a great time staying here. I ended making some good friends after it was all said and done. The place was exactly as described and Maria was very nice and helpful. I would definitely use the service and her place again if I'm in the bay. Thank you!
