About this listing
We are located in the city of Napa. A short taxi ride or 15 min walk from Downtown Napa. Our trailer is roomy and large enough for a family of seven, however it fits 4 to 5 adults comfortably. It is Glamping at it's best!
You will have full use of the trailer that has full hook-ups which means water, electricity and full bathroom use. (Keep in mind the "tub" is small but you can stand to shower) The trailer has a master bed with curtain enclosures, a couch that makes into a queen size airbed, dinette makes into a full size bed which sleeps one adult or 2 children, and 2 twin size bunk beds that kids will love, although we have added 3 inch memory foam mattress toppers for adult comfort as well.
Animals live on our property, notably 2 miniature Dachshunds, but are low key and won't be a bother during your stay. Cats live on the property but have not entered the trailer so no need to worry if you are sensitive/allergic to cats.
You will also have access to our back deck and gazebo. Our deck has an additional propane oven/cook top. Access to gas BBQ grill is also included. We also have a fire pit with plenty of wood so you can enjoy gathering around the fire and sharing your day's adventures.
Use of bicycles and helmets are available. Please let us know prior to your arrival the size and number of bicycles you will need.
If you need to do any laundry during your stay, we offer our washer and dryer for a couple of loads, at no extra charge.
Interaction with Guests
We will most likely be present at the time of your arrival but will always be available by phone or text with instructions on how to access anything you need. Don't hesitate to text anytime with questions regarding how to operate anything in the trailer. We both work full-time so our time during your stay will be limited especially during the week.
We will be available to answer any questions you may have about the local attractions. We are not huge wine people but have plenty of friends who are and can answer any questions related to wine and local vineyards.
If it is privacy you want, this space is perfect. Please let us know if you would like us to make the dinette or sofa sleeper into beds while you are off to dinner, etc.
Keep in mind, the deck and patio area are shared spaces with our house guests, my family and pets.
Our home is located off the main street so it's safe and secluded. In the unfortunate event you must visit for a funeral, we are walking distance from the beautiful and historic Tulocay Cemetary. We are walking distance from Silverado Middle School which has an amazing new track if you want to get in some sprints!
We are located close (and by close I mean biking distance or a 20 min walk) to the Oxbow Market, the Wine Train, and downtown Napa. Drive or bike to Skyline Wilderness Park which has great hiking and mountain biking trails, or the Napa River for kayaking.
We have plenty of free parking on the premises. A bus stop is located just a few houses down the street and we are about a 15 min walk from the Napa Transit Center. We offer bicycles and helmets as well as the same map the bicycle rental shops have if you would like to bike to some local wineries. The map shows several different loops you can take along the valley for some amazing wine tasting and sight seeing.
Other Things to Note
If you have never stayed in an RV/Trailer, please keep in mind this is a living space made to tow behind a vehicle down the highway. It is made to sleep several people, not made to entertain several people inside. This is why we have opened up our deck/patio and gazebo for your use. It is glorified camping at it's best. It cannot be compared to a hotel suite, as that is not what it is, so please don't expect such.
Please let us know which beds you plan on using so we can make sure to show you how to make them into beds, where the bedding is stored, etc. The master queen bed is always made as well as both bunk beds.
The couch/sleeper and dinette get made into beds at bedtime. If we are available during your stay, we will be glad to make them into beds while you are gone to dinner, etc. Just text or call with the time you would like them to be ready. If we are not able to do this, we will leave instructions on how it is done.
Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 12pm. This allows us enough time to get everything ready for our next guest. No smoking and no pets please.
From May 26 - 30, 2016 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
Tammy met us and took us on a tour of the facilities. She was warm and friendly and interested in what brought us to Napa and what were our plans.
Tammy and Lloyd welcomed us when we arrived. They introduced all the stuff in the trailer. This is the first time for us to stay in a trailer for 2 nights. It's a very good experience. Tammy's breakfast is really good - croissant the first day and scone the second day. Lloyd helped us set up the fire pit in the back yard. It kept us warm while we watched the stars in the night and chat around the fire pit. The neighborhood is quiet. It's very close to downtown NAPA area. They prepared 4 bikes for us, though we didn't get time to be on the bike. I'm sure kids will love the twin size bunk beds. My husband said it brought his childhood memory back.
It seems a little bit small for 4 adults. However, we still enjoy it a lot. I'm sure kids will love staying in the trailer.
We found Tammy and Lloyd browsing the airbnb website. We wanted something different and found the idea of staying in a camper awesome, the description on the site was very accurate, in a very quiet neighborhood, ideal for a family vacation.
Tammy and Lloyd are great hosts, you feel like if you are being greeted by family, not by someone who is renting you a place. They truly make your stay a pleasant one: freshly made scones every morning, directions to the best spots, recommendations of what to see, bikes to go around town (something we took great advantage of). We have traveled a lot to many countries and warmth we encountered with Tammy and Lloyd was truly unique.
Tammy and Lloyd were fantastic hosts. Tammy was very communicative and gave us a great tour of the camper and property, ensuring we had everything we needed. Tammy and Lloyd have taken the time to add comforts and homey details to the camper such as snacks and bottled water, lots of pillows and blankets for lounging and a well stocked kitchen. Tammy even brought over fresh pastries each morning. Even though the temperatures during the day were hot, the camper was comfortable for sleeping at night with the windows open. The neighborhood was quiet and within walking distance of some great restaurants and Oxbow Public Market. We loved having the option of using the bikes though we ended up walking or driving. Great hosts!
They are both lovely! It is such a great place for kids; trampoline, tetherball, hot scones, and cute dachshunds! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Our glamping experience in Napa was amazing! Thank you to Tammy and Lloyd for being thoughtful, friendly hosts and so accommodating! We loved the scones in the morning and their advice on getting around in Napa. We hope to come back soon!

We were so touched by Tammy and Lloyd’s hospitality.
Our arrival accidentally became midnight but they waited and welcomed us. The RV is fantastic. It was first time for us to stay in RV and our kids and wife including me were so excited and enjoyed our stay. Tammy’s baked scone was impressively nice. We will be back when we stay in Napa again. Highly recommended.

About the Host, Tammy
Lloyd is a Superintendent, Division of Equipment, CalTrans (aka McGuyver), and I am an RN here in Napa. We love to meet new people and hear their stories.
We want our kids to see how other people live and interact so they will gain a broader perspective of the world and all it has to offer.
