About this listing
We are located in the city of Napa. A short taxi ride or 20 min walk from Downtown Napa. Our new trailer is roomy and large enough for a family of seven, however it fits 4 to 5 adults comfortably. It is Glamping at it's best!
You will have full use of the trailer that has full hook-ups which means water, electricity and full bathroom use. (Keep in mind the "tub" is small but you can stand to shower) The trailer has a master bed with curtain enclosures, a couch that makes into a queen size airbed, dinette makes into a full size bed which sleeps one adult or 2 children, and 2 twin size bunk beds that kids will love, although we have added 3 inch memory foam mattress toppers for adult comfort as well.
Animals live on our property, notably 2 miniature Dachshunds, but are low key and won't be a bother during your stay. Cats live on the property but have not entered the trailer so no need to worry if you are sensitive/allergic to cats.
You will also have access to our back deck and gazebo. Our deck has an additional propane oven/cook top. Access to gas BBQ grill is also included. We also have a fire pit with plenty of wood so you can enjoy gathering around the fire and sharing your day's adventures.
Use of bicycles and helmets are available. Please let us know prior to your arrival the size and number of bicycles you will need.
If you need to do any laundry during your stay, we offer our washer and dryer for a couple of loads, at no extra charge.
Interaction with Guests
We will most likely be present at the time of your arrival but will always be available by phone or text with instructions on how to access anything you need. Don't hesitate to text anytime with questions regarding how to operate anything in the trailer. We both work full-time so our time during your stay will be limited especially during the week.
We will be available to answer any questions you may have about the local attractions. We are not huge wine people but have plenty of friends who are and can answer any questions related to wine and local vineyards.
If it is privacy you want, this space is perfect. Please let us know if you would like us to make the dinette or sofa sleeper into beds while you are off to dinner, etc.
Keep in mind, the deck and patio area are shared spaces with our house guests, my family and pets.
Our home is located off the main street so it's safe and secluded. In the unfortunate event you must visit for a funeral, we are walking distance from the beautiful and historic Tulocay Cemetary. We are walking distance from Silverado Middle School which has an amazing new track if you want to get in some sprints!
We are located close (and by close I mean biking distance or a 20 min walk) to the Oxbow Market, the Wine Train, and downtown Napa. Drive or bike to Skyline Wilderness Park which has great hiking and mountain biking trails, or the Napa River for kayaking.
We have plenty of free parking on the premises. A bus stop is located just a few houses down the street and we are about a 15 min walk from the Napa Transit Center. We offer bicycles and helmets as well as the same map the bicycle rental shops have if you would like to bike to some local wineries. The map shows several different loops you can take along the valley for some amazing wine tasting and sight seeing.
Other Things to Note
If you have never stayed in an RV/Trailer, please keep in mind this is a living space made to tow behind a vehicle down the highway. It is made to sleep several people, not made to entertain several people inside. This is why we have opened up our deck/patio and gazebo for your use. It is glorified camping at it's best. It cannot be compared to a hotel suite, as that is not what it is, so please don't expect such.
Please let us know which beds you plan on using so we can make sure to show you how to make them into beds, where the bedding is stored, etc. The master queen bed is always made as well as both bunk beds.
The couch/sleeper and dinette get made into beds at bedtime. If we are available during your stay, we will be glad to make them into beds while you are gone to dinner, etc. Just text or call with the time you would like them to be ready. If we are not able to do this, we will leave instructions on how it is done.
Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 12pm. This allows us enough time to get everything ready for our next guest. No smoking and no pets please.
From May 26 - 30, 2016 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
We had a wonderful stay here - the hosts are so welcoming and helpful, they've really thought if everything a guest could need. They were also very understanding with us (we had problems with our hired car) and helped all they could. We got warm pains au chocolat brought to our door the first morning! The accommodation is super cosy and comfortable and quiet. We really hope to return here on our next trip to wine country!
Tammy and her husband are truly amazing hosts! Communication leading up to the trip was great, lots of recommendations for places in the area, and make sure tp ask them about a special pick-up that Platypus Wine Tour will do for Tammy and Lloyd's location.
The actual stay was lovely. Tammy met us for check-in at our desired time and walked us through the glamper specifics, since the other two ladies and I were newbies. She showed us the lights, keys, water, and had stocked with paper products, coffee, fresh half and half, suger, etc.
I slept in the twin bed and it was awesome! Newer mattress with foam and extra blankets and pillows.
We were mostly out in Napa and wine tasting during our stay, so the bikes were in great shape and very handy! They actually have a large selection so there should be something for everyone! They provide locks and helmets as well.
Rumor CONFIRMED - Tammy provides baked goods in the mornings and they are amazing!
This is where you want to stay for a prime Napa location without the high cost of a full house or hotel. It has all of the amenities that you need, including some DVDs for late night move watching and popcorn.
My fiance and I had an amazing stay at Tammy's! The space was beautiful and well located near downtown. We used the bikes available at the house, which was tons of fun and an exciting way to experience Napa! Tammy and her husband were very welcoming and full of good advice. The morning scones were delicious as well!
Tammy was a really fantastic host, and the camper was even nicer and more homelike than the pictures show! I would definitely not hesitate booking the camper again if I'm ever in the Napa area. Extremely highly recommended!!!
We were so thrilled with our glamping experience! My three best friends and I stayed in the glamper for a two-night girls' trip to Napa Valley. The glamper was clean and fully stocked with coffee, KIND bars, fresh linens - even the medicine cabinet had things you might forget like Advil and sunblock. The neighborhood felt safe and was conveniently located near downtown, Starbucks, Target, etc... We had a driver pick us up to take us around on wine tours - he had no problem finding the place and was able to leave his car safely in the driveway while he drove us around in our rental car. Lloyd and Tammy are fantastic hosts - Lloyd gave us a tour upon arrival and Tammy made fresh scones (so yummy!), which we ate at the nice picnic table outside in the morning. Tammy immediately responded to messages and they were both so gracious. Tammy gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner at Uva in Downtown Napa - it was delicious! We didn't have time to ride the bikes, but we definitely appreciated that they were made available. This glamper is a great value in Napa Valley - we put our money saved toward delicious food and wine tastings and couldn't be happier with the overall experience! :)
Tammy and Lloyd were great hosts. While we spent most of our time at wineries, the time we did spend in the RV was great. The location is quiet and beds are comfy. The morning pastries were quite a treat as well. I'd definitely stay again!
Tammy is a fantastic host. She contacted us before we arrived and allowed us to check in early so that we could get our vacation started. Tammy provides several bicycles for you to use and choose from so we were able to find bikes that fit us. The location is a short 10 minute walk from downtown Napa and the Ox Bow market making it convenient to walk downtown for dinner. The camper is clean, roomy and perfect for those looking to have a unique quiet getaway.
