Book your getaway to this beautifully decorated pet friendly split lakefront (meaning the house is on one side of the road and our private beach is across N. Lake Blvd.) home. With 3 bedrooms, each with its own view of the lake, 2 1/2 baths, fully equipped stainless steel kitchen with gas cooktop, separate dining room and living room with cozy sectional sofa, window seat and flat screen tv over gas fireplace, this house is designed for your complete comfort. A new six person hot tub is also just steps from your back door in a private yard with a perfect view of the lake. The back yard also has a gas grill, picnic table, adirondak chairs and fire pit. The house also has a large, two car garage to provide warm and convenient interior access to the house.

Agate Bay is a beautiful and protected cove which is between Kings Beach and Tahoe City, so you are close to everything: skiing at major resorts, snow shoeing, tobogganing, gambling and many fine restaurants. Some of the major ski resorts also have shuttles which will pick you up close to the house and return you home again – without the hassle of parking a car.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed with private deck and firepit as well as a private bathroom and dressing area. There are two other bedrooms, one with queen size 4 poster bed and one with two twin beds (which can be converted into a king). There is also a memory foam queen inflatable mattress if you require extra sleeping space (we do allow 2 children in addition to 6 adults).

The front deck provides an extensive view of the lake and is also completely fenced and gated to protect your children and pets.

The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs including a Cuisinart, blender, Calphalon cookware, bakeware including pie plates and rolling pin as well as table settings to accommodate up to 12 guests for dinner. The stainless steel kitchen appliances include a gas cooktop, two extra large ovens and a french door refrigerator (there is also an extra fridge in the garage for overflow groceries).

This home is also near major golf courses, shopping, dining and casino entertainment.

  • Such a lovely place! Loved it!

  • We had a wonderful stay in Carol's house. The views are fantastic across the lake, and the location is perfect for indoor and outdoor activities at Tahoe. The house is very cozy, the fireplace in front of the picture window was lovely, the kitchen extremely well-equipped. And Carol was a great and very responsive host!

  • Absolutely perfect Tahoe home! My friends and I recently participated in Tough Mudder at Northstar and this was the best spot to come home to after such a tiring day! The house captures all of the Tahoe charm that you would expect and the views of the lake were spectacular. We all love to cook and we couldn't stop talking about how well stocked and convenient the kitchen was. The hot tub was a definite plus to rest our battered bodies at night after a huge dinner :) Comfortable beds and plenty of supplied towels and other amenities. Carol was extremely helpful and quick to respond with any questions I had. This experience was a breeze to book and we will all definitely be back to this special spot once the snow starts! Thanks Carol!

    Thanks!

  • Carol was wonderful hosts; from the beautiful cabin to the bottle of wine left out for us, our whole experience was outstanding. We will definitely have to visit again!

  • We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

    BOOKING THE CABIN:
Booking was so easy and quick, especially with Carol's quick response time. She was very accommodating and answered all of our questions. The fluid communication relieved A LOT of the stress that comes with finding a vacation cabin rental.

    OUR STAY -- LOCATION:
Location was great! Safeway was right around the corner. We ski/snowboarded at Northstar, only a few minutes drive away. The lake out front and the view of the lake from the cabin was spectacular!

    OUR STAY -- THE HOUSE/CABIN:
The cabin is beautifully decorated to give it a comfortable and intimate feel. It's cozier than the impression that the pictures of the property gave me. The hot tub is well maintained, and was a perfect way to end the night after a long day of skiing/snowboarding. The kitchen is LOADED with everything that you might need (equipment and utensils) -- my partner is a chef; he appreciated the kitchen.

OVERALL, OUR STAY WAS REJUVENATING! We will have Carol's house/cabin in mind the next time we plan another trip.

  • We stayed at this cabin just last week. Great location, comfortable, had all the amenities we needed. The front door area is also gated at this location so if you have a pet, this is a plus for when the dog needs to go do its business. If you are looking into renting this cabin; you will be satisfied. The cabin is a bit smaller than what seems in the photos, but will be comfortable for a party of 6. One thing to keep in mind is that the driveway is very steep and if iced, you will have a very hard time making it into the garage. One of our cars was 4wd but with no snow tires, we just had to park on the lower part of the drive way, no big deal though. Place is still worth 5 stars and we will stay again.

  • Comfy home away from home.

Carol's house was fantastic and exactly what we were looking for this summer. We spent six days there in August and enjoyed the views and close proximity to Kings Bay, Carnelian Bay and Tahoe City. The house was well maintained and cozy. Everything was in working order, and as advertisted, each room had a view of the lake. The only thing missing was a pool (per my children) or easy access to the lake/dock.

The boys were happy to have full cable TV, board games, wifi and big comfy sofa for when we weren't out exploring.

It was too warm to use the terrific firepits and well-maintained jacuzzi, but we made use of the beaches at Kings Bay and Tahoe City. The Tahoe City Beach was far less crowded and easy walking distance to restaurants. Plus that beach also has a playground for kids and a grassy area for picnics.

The beds were super comfortable and all amenities were readily available. I loved having a full kitchen with all pots, pans, grills, coffee makers, utensils etc provided. Many staple kitchen items were available, too (such as Ziploc bags, trash bags, dish soap etc!).

She thought everything. What a lovely place to stay.

After driving down to South Lake Tahoe, I was very relieved that we picked Carol's place in North Lake Tahoe. It was less crowded with more of a family feeling to it.

We chartered a fishing boat at Mickey's in Carnelian Bay, and also went to minature golf/arcade there, which is a five minute drive from Carol's house. Safeway was also a five minute drive towards Kings Bay.

Don't forget to drive over to West Lake Tahoe (about 45 min) to Emerald Bay to hike 1 mile down to Vikingsholm castle. Great place to also picnic, swim and geocache.

Thanks Carol! We look forward to coming back.

  • This was our first trip to Lake Tahoe and we booked Lakeside at Agate Bay for a Christmas family get together because it looked great on airbnb, we could sleep 5 and we could bring my son's dog, Hudson. The unit was better than expected as it was larger and more nicely appointed. Although there wasn't any snow, it was cold at night and we all enjoyed the hot tub in the back yard. I've rated it 4/5 stars because the furniture is a bit tired but I will hastily add that I would come back to this unit in a heart beat because of it's amenities, size, location and the manager, Carol Helzberg, who was fantastically responsive. I think Hudson would like to come back too!
