  • We had a great stay here at this well arranged and outfitted condo. Great location for vintage shopping, running and eating. Easy access to downtown via the bus system.
The hosts were really helpful and assisted us when needed.

  • What a delightful corner of Portland! Kim and Francis are such incredible hosts, and they have created one of the coziest wee spots I have stayed in. I wanted to take all of the furniture home...
OTTO was amazing, (their restaurant), and the area of Hawthorne allows for what feels like a truly authentic experience ~ nurturing the residents rather than commercial tourism.
I plan on returning as soon as harvest is over, for a retro furniture indulgence-spree. Not to mention dining delight....
Thank you Kim and Francis!! xx

  • This was an ideal place for me to stay in Portland. Quiet neighborhood, yet I could walk to a natural foods grocery store, Powell's Books in Hawthorne, and YogaUnion to take a class. I had a stunningly good cappuccino at a lovely neighborhood cafe across the street. The fellow residents at the condos were friendly. The hosts were especially helpful--I accepted their generous offer and they picked me up at the train station when I arrived in Portland. The interior of the condo is very clean and charmingly decorated. I had everything I needed for a weekend getaway. Thanks!

  • This place was wonderful! After our first reservation fell through, Butternut Condos was a quick and friendly accommodation for us. They not only met us at the condo at 10pm on short notice, but let us stay until a later checkout time. The condo is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable home-like trip. The bed was so comfortable it was hard to get up. The location is wonderful, loved being across from Albina Press coffee and down the street from everywhere we needed to go. We always had a parking spot right in the front and never heard traffic or other people. I would love to stay again next time I'm in town, maybe see what the others looked like inside... though Pistachio was quite charming and comfortable itself.
Thanks again for making our week a lot easier and comfortable.

  • My wife and I found the unit to fit our needs, and beyond. It has a FULL kitchen with pots, pans & appliances, nice modern decor, and was clean & tidy. The flat screen TV with cable AND internet made it easy for conducting business & pleasure. Laundry in the basement of the complex made washing a snap. There was no reserved parking, but we never had to walk more than 1/2 block to our car. The neighborhood seemed mellow & safe. We were about 15min from downtown Portland by car. These units are suuuuper cute, and we would have stayed longer, but they were all booked out. When we return to Portland, we will definitely try to stay here again.

  • Stayed at the Butternuts once again. Still....one...fresh Pistachio. This time around I found an immersion blender in a kitchen drawer. Now I am convinced this condo has everything! I am so looking forward to my next stay. Thanks again for everything Francis, Kim, Kate and Pete!
