We were one of the first guesthouses in Beirut, and still the most charming one, we believe!
Note: The guesthouse can host up to 9 adults.
We can't list all our 4 rooms, so we need to mention it here. We charge by room/person 70 USD, every additional person in the same room is +30 USD. If the calender says we are fully booked, we might not be, its just that there are other guests booked in already.
Loads of reviews to be found on Tripadviser. Monocle has listed us as one of the 5 most wonderful hotels of Lebanon, Elle Oriental has done fashion shootings in our place, the German cosmopolitan recommends us etc.
Yalla, come and visit us soon!
Yours, Robert, Carina and Simone
Along the Mid-Eastern coast of the Mediterranean, shimmers Beirut, jewel of the Middle East.
Hayete is a cozy guesthouse in the very center of Beirut, in the charming neighborhood of Ashrafieh. It is located in an early 20th century building. Here we offer our visitors a first hand experience of this marvellous city.
Hayete means "my life" in Arabic but when the Lebanese use it, they actually want to say 'my darling'. This is what we want to be, your personal favorite in Beirut.
In Hayete we have 4 rooms which each have their own identity. Are you looking for romantic scenery or inspiration behind your laptop, then in our west and south rooms you will find your perfect setting. The north room is ideal for people who require some more space and privacy. The east room is our artist room, giving you the feeling of being in a seperate house.
Besides the rooms, a big living hall gives you space to relax and mingle with other guests or just maybe you just want to sit back behind tea and have Mish and Maul whistling you a song.
The west and south room share a common bathroom. The north and east room both have a seperate bathroom.

Interaction with Guests
We are always available online or by phone, on the location occationally. But there is everyday a house keeper for the most important issues, from 7:30 am till 12 am.
Achrafieh is greatly located walking distance to the restaurant and bar venues in Beirut. It's a beautiful old neighborhood.
Public transport is an adventure, if you really want to do it, let us know. But we have a trusted taxi company around the corner, with very fair prices
Enjoy your self!!
Lebanon is one of the most fascinating places on this planet, and Hayete is the best guesthouse in the country, all we want from you is to enjoy your self and come!
The Hayete house is in a great location. It was my second time there. Great high ceilings and kept clean. There is a washer and dryer which is quite nice.
The interior of this guesthouse was absolutely charming with lots of character. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the hosts were very helpful and responsive.
However, there was construction nearby and often times loud honking from traffic, so it was quite loud for the early mornings. Space heaters were used to heat rooms as well, which I think is common in Lebanon.
Overall, I would definitely visit again and stay at Hayete.
Cool place in a great neighborhood. Fresh breakfast every day was a very pleasant surprise, and there were many other cafes and restaurants that we enjoyed a short walk away. Didn't get a chance to meet our hosts, but they were very communicative and arranged a ride from the airport for us. We overlapped with some other friendly and helpful guests staying in other rooms for part of our trip, so do realize you might not have the whole place to your group.
A fantastic spot. Great location. Wonderful decor. Well served and wanting to come back quick. Highly recommended.
Simone's place is amazing. We stayed me and 8 other friends of mine. Everything was well-organized.
If ı had a chance ı would have stayed there much more than this.
The rooms, especially breakfast, hot-water, etc. are nice.
There is no need to search on internet to find a place in Beirut.
The answer is: HAYETE
Hayete certainly has a good deal of charm, uniqueness, and convenience, since it's located in a wonderful neighborhood. We enjoyed the aesthetics, breakfast, and "help-yourself" atmosphere. However, our experience would have been a lot better with several added details that are generally expected for a "B&B" in this price range. The heater was a tiny space heater that, in a cold January, was quite ineffective; the light bedding was insufficient (though we managed to find an extra blanket in the kitchen). One of the main lights wasn't working so the room was quite dark. The tiny bathroom's shower is in disrepair and with no basics like soap offered, we had to venture out in the rain to find some. With several handles on the dresser missing, the drawers weren't easy to open. Essentially, we had the feeling that the guesthouse, while a beautiful space, has been a bit neglected - particularly since these details are easily fixable. Again, a charming place, but it would be great to see it in its full glory.
Simone's guest house is truly a gem. Located pretty central in trendy Achrafieh it's very easy to get to anywhere in Beirut - downtown, Hamra, Mar Mikhael, Gemmayze, you name it. There are shops in the are, there's a 24/7 grocery store just 5min walk away (Hibou on Lebanon St). Theres a Lebanese/Mexican fusion restaurant downstairs and they're really lovely as well.
The best part of the house is the balcony - it is great to sit there in the evening and socialise with the other guests if you don't have any evening plans.
There's a morning maid lady who comes every day, makes & serves breakfast (on the amazing balcony) & cleans the apartment.
Both hosts were lovely & helpful. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this place as well as Beirut & Lebanon - I will go back one day, I'm sure, I loved it too much.
