Staying at Nicks apartement was nice. His place is near the centre of the city and the room was clean. Nick told us were to go and what to see. It would have been even better if a small self-service breakfast would have been provided. Thanks for hosting us Nick.
Hi Lea, thanks for your review. It says in the airbnb description that breakfast is not provided. That is why I always let guests know where the nearest supermarket is so they can get themselves what they would like for breakfast. Good luck with the rest of your trip
Nick's house is PERFECTLY located for walking or getting around Waterford. I rode the public bus from Dublin and then walked only about 15 minutes to the house. Nick was on holiday, but his and step- daughter let me in and got situated. The house is large and layer back - ideal for relaxing! The room was nice and is located right near the park for strolls.
Nick made me feel very welcome, and the room was as described.
I must say you did both seem very unfriendly from the moment you arrived. If you had anything you wanted to ask me about I would have been only too happy to oblige, as all the other hundreds of reviews I have received will testify. Its not good enough to stay silent and then leave a bad review.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 days at Nicholas's home. It is a perfect location for visiting everything in the city on foot. Nicholas was very helpful in suggesting things to do, places to eat, etc. On our second night there he went to dinner with us where traditional Irish music was featured. I also enjoyed a glass of wine with him the evening before and some wonderful conversation. We would definitely recommend staying there.
Nicholas was welcoming and the room was clean, neat and comfortable. However we would not consider it 'luxurious'. You need to look after your own breakfast as this is not provided. The location was an easy walk to restaurants which was good because parking in Waterford is limited.
Sadly we couldn't meet Nicholas and were received by another guest in his house, which helped us and showed the house. The room was very nice and cosy, and the house was very close to the city center, just a 5 min walk and you're at the heart of the city!
