Local supermarket and multiplex cinema is 2 minutes walk away. ‘Peoples Park’, across the road, dating from 1857, has 2 children’s playgrounds, and offers a relaxing environment for strollers, joggers, skateboarders and families or a tasty snack in the old Park Lodge café.
Waterford has numerous festivals throughout the year, 2 vibrant theatres and, of course, the world famous Waterford Crystal Centre in the Viking quarter. There is a wealth of restaurants and pubs to suit every taste within easy walking distance. Dublin and Cork are an hour and a half drive away and rail and bus routes are frequent from both. Near town center, and a very useful supermarket nearby, it's a very cosy room, very clean. A very quiet neighbourhood, we slept very well.
Nick was great. Helped with everything needed.
Room was clean and fine.
Would come back :-)
Nick was extremely hospitable and welcoming. He allowed us full use of his kitchen which was fantastic. The bed was vey comfortable and we had an ensuite bathroom as well. Nick also invited us to a musical evening at a local pub where he was playing with several other musicians and we had a great night. The house is an easy 10 minute walk to all the visitor attractions of Waterford. Well recommended.
Great place, great host, great chats, great location.
Nick was very welcoming when I arrived and although it was late we chatted for a while with a glass of wine. The house is slightly 'faded glory' but none the worse for that and the room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, douvet and pillows and a good hot shower. I certainly like to stay there again if I was visiting Waterford, not least because it was an easy walk into the main museums and onto the town centre. No need for a car here.
Me and my girlfriend had a great stay. The room was bright and lovely, as described. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and every question we had, nick answered at once. He is a great host and everytime ready for a chat. The Pub (Phil Grimes), he showed us, had a wonderful beer and a delicious pizza. We only needed a few minutes to the supermarket and the city centre. Nick also liked our german beer we brought for him. Thanks Nick!
Hi Nicholas, thanks very much for letting us stay in your lovely home. This was our first experience of airbnb and you made this experience a pleasant one that I would be happy to repeat. Would highly recommend. thanks
