Private Room in the CBD.

House - Private room · A Little Gilbert Street, Adelaide, SA 5000, Australia

A private room in the heart of Adelaide, close to the remarkable Adelaide Central Market, the South West Parklands and numerous cafes around the area.

The Space

A unique place in the South West corner of the Adelaide CBD, with plenty of natural light coming through featuring a small atrium in the middle, a space where you can delight yourself having breakfast or afternoon tea.

A lounge equipped with a tv, dvd a record player, a truly comfortable place to relax and enjoy a night in with movies or music.

The house also has an outdoor courtyard full of plants and a bit of a outdoor lounge to sit down and enjoy a good book while the day go past.

Guest Access

The guest will have access to any of the communal areas such as the kitchen, the lounge, the atrium, bathroom and courtyard.

Interaction with Guests

My partner and I are the only people present in the house. Often we are at work during the day but our little westie is always at home waiting to meet new people.

The Neighborhood

The South West Corner of the City of Adelaide is considered a bohemian, funky place within the CBD.

What I do like about our street is the fact that there is always people walking past and wondering around and although there is a Mosque (Muslim church) across the road from the house, the street remains quite and peaceful at night time and even in the early morning. There are also two cafes located in each end of the street.

Getting around

Close to the bus stop, walking distance from the tram and parking available, this place is yet to make you feel at home and enjoy Adelaide at its best.

  • My friend and I had a great stay at Christian's place. While Christian himself wasn't at the house while we were there, everything was perfectly organised for our arrival, and Christian was always available by email or text message to answer any questions that we had about the house or the city. Lucien, who was in the house during our stay, was very welcoming and helpful too and went out of his way to accommodate us. And last but not least, Mona, Christian's little dog, will melt your heart with her cuteness.

  • Chris and Lucien should be official Adelaide ambassadors. They love the City and know it well. The apartment is really well situated for exploring the center city. They were gracious and respectful hosts.

  • Nestled away in an inner city side street, opposite a wonderful 19th century mosque, Chris's pad is great; a really cool place to lob when in Adelaide. It's a comfortable walk to the city centre and very close to the markets and fabulous restaurants. I was made feel most welcome and I'm looking forward to coming back for a longer stay next time. Thanks guys..OH and Mona their cute little Westie.

  • We didn't meet Christian as he was away working, but we met Lucian briefly - a really nice guy. The house dog was very cute and friendly. Nice centrally located hassle free house!

  • Had a blast staying at this cute apartment! The hosts are friendly, generous, kind and caringly hospitable but the true star of the show and lady of the house is their cute, lovable and adorable dog Mona! Sweetest dog ever!
Christian was helpful with directions, calling me a taxi and even kind enough to accompany and introduce me to a fantastic vegan cafe nearby where I enjoyed, hands down, one of the best breakfasts of my life!
The location couldn't be more perfect. You're basically in the center if town. Everything is accessible. The apartment is bright, happy and full of light. Definitely would request to stay here again when visiting the wonderful city of Adelaide!

  • I really enjoyed staying at Christian's place in Adelaide. It was clean and tidy and the location is great - very close to the centre of town. There are also a number of parks and cafes close by - Tropo was my favourite. The room is a good size with a balcony - the sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. I'm also a dog person and really enjoyed having 'mona' there as well - she is too cute and very friendly - and a highlight. Christian (and flat mate) were very friendly and easy to get along with. Enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay again.

  • I can not tell how much we enjoid our stay at Christians place. These guys are so kind and welcomming. The house is nice and clean and it is easy to find your way and use kitchen etc.

We are so facinated about Adelaide and living in a house that on the one hand is right in the center of the city and on the other hand is so peacefull and quit.

I am planning to go back to Adelaide later this month and I am shurely going to ask Christian if I can stay with him again.

My name is Chris Munoz and I was born and raised in Colombia. I've been in Adelaide for three years and it is a place that I can happily call home. I have travelled throughout South America, North India, Nepal, a bit around Australia and New Zealand. I have always found beauty in my surroundings, no matter how impoverished they seemed, and it was this desire to create beauty that drew me to photography, that's what I do. Since then, my camera has almost become an extension of my own body, an ever-present object in my hand waiting to capture moments in time. I still have plenty of places where I want to go and it will all come with the time. Mi casa, tu casa, just like my mum says back home.
