Richard violated the airbnb terms of service as well as NC Vacation Rental Law by vacating the home without notice, and did not notify me until about 24 hours after he was gone. I went well above and beyond to have the emergency mechanical repairs (which were completely out of our control) over the 4th of July holiday. A plumber worked on the issues the evening of 4th of July, in addition to the evening prior. I found and offered him temporary accommodations nearby, he declined. I offered to have bottled water delivered to the house, he declined. His response was always "we are fine". This is the first negative review we have received in 10 years renting this house to vacationers. We strive for everyone to have a five-star experience at our home. His trip was a disaster by no fault of ours, and he has been reimbursed for the inconvenience. We follow policy and law, unlike Richard.
