About this listing
Treehouse available in Hana, Maui. Quiet, secluded, rustic, private. For the adventurous type. Not for your typical "Condo" wanting tourists. Experience the "real" Hana by experiencing nature all around you. No electricity as it takes away from close feeling of nature. Beautiful view! Propane burning stove, hot shower & flushing toilet (a short distance from the tree house), candle and tiki torch lit, fresh flowers, comfy bed... Great beaches within 10 minute drive. $150 / night.
to find the treetops go up Kalo Road near the 31 mile marker then go up our driveway that says Papaya Drive. It is dirt about a 1 minute walk to treetops just after the little steep part. If you want you can park on Kalo, walk 4minutes

Unplug and enjoy! Very private - just about anything goes!
David called us to ensure we knew how to find the Treehouse. It was a private and beautiful space. Fresh flowers were a very nice welcome. Nothing beats waking up to seeing the sun rise from bed and hearing all the wilderness surrounding us during our stay. We felt like the Treehouse was trying to teach us a lesson; slow down and enjoy Hana...the perfect lesson for a couple of Chicago workaholics. Great honeymoon adventure!
Tree Tops is exactly as advertised, a primative, bare-bones, jungle experience -- very private and off the beaten path. David came by to check that we had everything we needed, but was not at all intrusive.
Very minimal, but quite the experience! We love the concept, but the treehouse may need some maintainance here and there.
Staying at the secluded Tree Tops Treehouse in Hana was an exciting and rustic glamping adventure.
We loved the layout of the treehouse. Our enjoyment of the second- and third-floor lanais was tempered only by continuous rainfall during our two-day visit. Happily, we still were able to have a drink and watch the ocean as the sun set from the top floor in our raincoats and read peacefully on the second floor lanai.
The bedroom was well screened from bugs and the translucent corrugated plastic roof was leak-proof. The pink mosquito netting over the bed was practical and romantic in candlelight. I was impressed by the flushing toilet and running water in the bathroom removed from the main treehouse. We didn't end up using the ground-level kitchen which seemed well outfitted if a bit grimy.
It was tricky deciphering David's directions to the treehouse and then navigating the steep driveway in our crappy rental car. But he thoughtfully provided directions to other popular local sites.
The treetops were very nice and private. The accommodations were peaceful. The rainforest moisture keeps the temperatures down. Make sure you bring briquettes to use the grill.
David was nice and was also casual about our check in. It was a pleasure to stay here!
Great location if you are wanting to stay in Hana. Easy access to the State Park. The treehouse itself is very rustic and close to nature, including wild boars, geckos, spiders, and lots of mosquitos! The bedroom and mosquito net keep you fairly well protected but bring your bug spray for the walk to the outdoor bathroom. The water was the best tasting we had anywhere in Maui!
Loved the tree house. We wanted to do the Hana Highway in 2 parts and this was perfect. The location was easy to find. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed being there. Close to the beaches and only 30 mins from the 7 Sacred Pools. Just make sure to bring a sense of adventure. Highly recommend.
