Very much enjoyed our stay in Tavira, which is a great base for exploring the eastern Algarve. Travelling out of season it was pretty quiet but Tavira is good because it's a charming town and not just a resort, so we had plenty of choice of restaurants and nice places to walk. A trip to Tavira Island is a must. The flat was very clean, comfortable and really great central location in a quiet square only a couple of minutes walk from the town centre. Fresh oranges from the garden were delicious!
We enjoyed a wonderful week in this lovely and comfortable Apartment which has everything that is necessary for a holyday. The surroundings are so nice and the distance to town and public transport short enouqh for walking. Thanks a lot for the perferct communication and accomodation with the hosts. We recommend this and the lovely city of Tavira for a relaxing holyday. Renate and Gert
We enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing stay in the beautiful town of Tavira. We had great communication with the hosts and a good welcome. The apartment is situated in a lovely quiet square but less than five minutes away from really nice cafes and restaurants. Having bicycles was a bonus and we were able to cycle to nearby towns and beaches. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you would need for a holiday. I would highly recommend this apartment, and Tavira as a holiday destination.
What a wonderful stay we had in the apartment. It's so spacious, very tasteful, well equipped & ideally located within Tavira as everywhere is within easy walking distance. As soon as we arrived in the apartment, we felt immediately at home & the bottle of wine left for us in the fridge was greatly appreciated! Emma was so helpful in answering any questions we had & was most welcoming. The patio & garden were lovely & perfect for relaxing & eating outside. We'd love to return & recommend this apartment without hesitation.
Location: perfectly located in a quite square minutes walk from the main square
in Tavira. We had access to two bikes and spent days exploring the nature reserve and parklands. The apartment itself is wonderfully renovated with all mod-cons and access to a small terrace and garden. There was an Aldi and Lidl beside the train station, about 10min walk away or 3mins on the bikes which was great in allowing us to get the basics and make our own lunches. Herman was brilliant in all his communications and provided us with a great list of restaurants and 'to do's' which we made full use of. Kind, funny and straight up hosts with a lovely home in a great location - we highly recommend. Lorna and Doug
We stayed in Albi's house for about two weeks. We chose Tavira because it is a very quiet town compared to the west of the Algarve. It was a great place to relax. The house is located in the very center of the town. Some of our highlights: feeding the plenty of trouts in the river, attending a Fado concert in the opposite church, cycling part of the Ecovia, visiting the Pego do Inferno waterfalls, a 2-hr horse trip through the country with Vasco and seeing a movie in the battered historical cinema.
One minor issue about Tavira are the army helicopters which are stationed in the town, at some (week) days they get a bit annoying. But the idyllic house and garden, the beautiful town and the fluent communication with the owners amply made up for that. I would certainly recommend this place to all my friends.
