Kent is a small, university community that experiences four seasons and is close to the larger cities of Cleveland and Akron as well as Ohio's Amish country. The city is undergoing a fantastic renovation and there are new shops and restaurants opening every week.
The university offers a bus service which is free on campus, and has a minimal charge ($2) if you are off campus. The bus stop is at the corner of West Oak and South Water streets. Additionally, there are taxi services available - $3 rides anywhere in the city.
This is a great place to stay if you need to visit campus while helping your student move, for graduation, or if you are visiting northeast Ohio.
