About this listing
RELAX, or Not. Retreat with peaceful delight to a passive-solar house set in organic gardens. City, mountain, lake views. Nearby World Heritage San Miguel de Allende, Mexico by easy bus or taxi to Centro. Safe and nurturing. 9/10/2016-3/31/2017 L/T
The home is spacious and intimate - filled with air and light. The only interior wall and door separates the bathroom. When the black-out draperies are pulled back your senses expand into the garden and mountains beyond. Since there is no Internet or TV, your peace and quiet is enhanced. A stereo is provided for CD or Ipod. Desire to make art? Use the wooden floor easel and the long dining table for creativity!
A new 8ft.block wall with points on top has replaced the old fence! More privacy and beauty.
I designed the space for grey water to plumb directly into the garden. Water is potable from the spigots, although you can enjoy spring-like, mineralized water in the Nikken Tank in the kitchen. (black water from the toilet is the only water going to the septic system)
Relaxation is yours. The longer you stay, the more serenity you will experience. I seek long term rentals only - 4 weeks or more.
Country aspects: hot springs, Atotonilco, bike riding or explore by foot,
City: San Miguel Fiestas and fireworks....seemingly nonstop. Activities, parades, classes, concerts, art shows, shopping, organic markets, Mexican mercados, etc. Most are listed in the bilingual periodical Atencion. (pickup in town Fridays) The week's activities are listed in the Que Pasa pullout.
