Isabel was very welcoming and very friendly. I asked her for some suggestions of places to go and eat and she gave me the best suggestions! The listing is accurate and the place is located in a safe neighborhood. Everything is walking distance and I had no issues with safety at all. Overall, my stay at Cartagena was amazing! Isabel is an amazing host!
Isabel was a great host. Always asking if we needed anything like a warm cup of cafe con leche. She even let us keep our bags in the place a day after our reservation because we had a late flight and didn't want to carry our bags around all day. The place is a great location within walking distance from all of the major attractions in Cartagena, and very affordable.
Isabel, her daughter Lisa, and her adorable kittens were so welcoming to my friend and I. She always knew where to go to grab something to eat and could let you know which tourist traps are ripping you off and those that are not. She is a quick 15 minute walk to the old city, a $4 taxi ride away from Bocagrande beach, and a block away from a supermarket/bank/etc. She is hilarious and if you can, bring her a magnet from your home town!
Very good place to stay in Cartagena. Isabel is very nice, helpful and beautiful woman.
Isa was my first airbnb experience, and she did not disappoint. She was extremely helpful since the very beginning providing me such info as taxi fare (13,000 pesos from the airport). She also helped me find aloa verde at the supermarket after I got sunburned. :) The house is as shown in the pictures. There were no surprises. In terms of privacy (someone else mentioned the lack of privacy), all I can say that I had a separate room with keys for it. Overall, a great experience.
The stay is Isabel's place was great. The room is big an spacious, the bed is comfortable and the aircon worked like a charm. The place is just a little outside the touristy areas, it's about a 10 min walk. The port is also close by if you want to catch a boat to the nearby islands!
We didn't get to meet Isabel but her mother was very nice! The room is in a chic neighborhood and well air conditioned. The household cat had her kittens while we were there which I view as bonus points for cute! Ants were a bit of a problem but I imagine they are difficult to keep out in the hot climate of Cartagena. I would recommend this room-enjoy!
