Great check-in experience
100% of recent guests gave the check-in process a 5-star rating.
Our lovely space is a lush urban oasis and permaculture farm. Enjoy goats, pigs, emus, roosters, parrots, tortoises, cats, and friendly people. Located in "Little Haiti," near art district, 15 minutes from airport and South Beach. Fresh veggies, eggs and honey when available! Late night train horns and early rooster crows also!
Please check in by 8 pm on arrival day.

The space
Walk up narrow staircase to the 3rd level of the treehouse, nestled within the pithocilobium tree. Feel like you're living in the trees! Beautiful view of canopy and animals. There's a double bed for two. Shared kitchen downstairs. The Bahamas style bathroom is located a few steps away from the Treehouse and the lovely outdoor shower is also close by. Bathroom and shower have hot water.
Due to height of treehouse, no children are allowed (sorry). From the canopy room, you will hear animal sounds and possibly midnight train horns.
Mosquitos are at their peak during rainy season (June-September) we have a net over the bed, citronella candle, two fans and incense to keep them away from you in the Treehouse, but that's not a guarantee.
Miami summer is hot. While our beautiful canopy of trees helps keep the farm a lot cooler than other parts of the city, be mindful that the Treehouse only has fans for cooling. It does not have an air conditioner. Please consider our "Cozy Cabin room" or "Cute Cedar Camper" listings if you are sensitive to mosquitoes or prefer air conditioning. Guest access
Our farm is the place to come to have the convenience of city life and the relaxing paradise you need after an active day. You can feed the animals, partake in farm events, play lively games of volleyball every Sunday. Sailing, kayaking, bicycle rental, available for modest fees.
We greatly appreciate guests checking in by 8:00 p.m.

Other things to note
You will be delighted by the beauty of the farm. It is a surprising haven within the concrete jungle. We are dedicated to creating as simple and sustainable lifestyle as possible.
We ask that guests arrive by 8:00 p.m.

I moved to the farm in November 2012, just before Ray and I celebrated our wedding in a big farm bash. Living here is delightful, waking to the sounds of roosters and parrots. I like joyful times shared with my family and community, including potluck vegan dinners, volleyball, lively conversations about social issues. As a traveler I've always preferred to stay among the local people rather than in a touristy hotel. So here at the farm, I try to give guests a feeling of inclusion and an opportunity to add their own special qualities and talents to our community.
