Private room in a 2 bed/1 bath apartment during the week but the whole place is yours on weekends
I live/work in Sacramento during the week however my partner lives in Napa so I frequently leave town on the weekends. If you are booking a WEEKEND stay then the entire home will be all yours (Friday-Sunday). And if you are booking DURING THE WEEK (Monday - Friday morning), you are booking my guest room and sharing the rest of the house/bathroom with me.
ABOUT THE HOME:
Downstairs you'll have a big comfy couch, TV (DVDs & player, cable including HBO), washer/dryer, dining room table and kitchen with all the fixings (I love to cook). Because we're in such a safe and central Midtown location, I like to bike everywhere and the downstairs is big enough for you to keep your bikes inside by the front door (I even have an extra loner bike you can borrow).
Upstairs is the bathroom, my bedroom and your lovely guest bedroom (your room)...
ABOUT THE ROOM:
The room is pretty big and has a brand new Full bed that sleeps two comfortably. There is plenty of closet space to hang clothes and bedside tables with drawer space (6 drawers total). The bathroom is right next to the guest room (fresh towels and toiletries are provided).
I will provide you with a key to the front gate and the house upon check-in. You will have access to not just your bedroom but the entire house, including the living room and kitchen downstairs.
The second bedroom (my bedroom) is locked and not available for AIrbnb use.
Interaction with Guests
I'm a 20-something gay guy that works in downtown doing marketing. I have another Airbnb listing in Napa and have been doing Airbnb for a while now. I have a small dog named Minnie (she is an Italian Greyhound mix) that is very friendly and well behaved (no barking, hair, or odors).
I love hosting and have had several long term guests that have become friends. I love to chat with all my guests but I have a busy schedule so will likely be out of your hair for most of your stay (and totally gone if you're booking on the weekend).
I am in a great neighborhood of Midtown Sacramento called Newton's Booth that is easily accessible to the highways but also within a short bike ride or very inexpensive cab from all the bars and restaurants. Temple Coffee, Revolution Wines, Pushkins Bakery and Sacramento Food Co-op are all within walking distance.
You'll be walking distance to some restaurants, bars and grocery stores (there's actually a mini market nextdoor) and everything else will either be a short bicycle ride or less than 5 minute drive away.
The house is also walking distance to various bus lines (Sacramento Regional Transit or "RT").
There is off-street parking available but I personally prefer parking on the street because there's ample availability and no street cleaning. I have a guest parking permit for you to use but it's not needed on weekends/holidays.
Other Things to Note
I will likely only accept reservations from guests who have reviews or references. It's really easy to ask a friend to give you a reference on Airbnb, so I recommend it to those without any reviews.
Guests with dogs are welcome to book on the weekends (dogs must be house broken). I'm open to dogs during the week on a case by case basis.
Guests with young children or babies are welcome to book on the weekend only.
This is a 420 friendly house but please open a window and clean up after yourself.
Check in is at 1pm, check out is at noon.
Be courteous and clean up after yourself
420 is okay but no tobacco smoking inside (feel free to grab a chair on the back patio)
Don't let the dog out (insert 'Who Let The Dogs Out' song here)
My bedroom is off-limits to guests
I had a wonderful time staying at Chris apartment! Chris's place was just as pictured and it was so clean and cozy. I stayed here with my boyfriend and we couldn't have been happier with our stay! Chris's place is so beautifully decorated. I didn't get to meet Chris but we talked on the phone a few times and he was so friendly and helpful. When I had a question he was very responsive and he really made sure I had all the info/help I needed. Thanks Chris!
Chris and Blake's place was perfect with a large bedroom and well designed space. I wanted to be close to restaurants and loved being able to walk everywhere after a long days work. I only met Chris and he was delightful. thanks again for making my stay perfect. Douglas
Chris has a beautifully cozy home which protected us from the rainy weekend weather. The guest bedroom that we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and was perfect for all of the meals we cooked. Chris was great to communicate with and even left a bottle of wine! It was a pleasant stay. Thank you, Chris!
Chris is a great host. I didn't have the opportunity to meet him but I arrived to wine and jazz playing. The apartment is awesome and beautifully decorated. The hot water takes a but to warm up but once it does it's perfect. Love the white board with parking pass and local recommendations along with books and reading nook. I will stay here again and highly recommend.
Chris & Blake were ideal hosts. The place was exactly as described and provided a welcome respite from visiting families for the holidays. The place is warm, cozy and feels like home. They accommodated our arrival time and were extremely communicative to make sure everything was all set for us. Would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I had a great time in Sacramento, and Chris and Blake's place was great. It was well decorated and very welcoming. Chris was very accommodating to my late flight arrival, and even left a bottle of wine for me to help wind down the night. Chris and Blake's place is also centrally located, with many restaurants just a few minutes away.

Chris lives in Sacramento during the week and Blake still lives in Napa. We've both lived all over the country but like to call the Bay Area home for now. Chris works in marketing for the tech world and Blake works in HR for the wine industry. We both love food/cooking, wine, working out (crossfit and running), dogs and travel. We love being Airbnb hosts and are big fans of the Airbnb community.
