First of all, this is a very nice place to stay when considering taking a tour of St. Louis. Me and my wife went to the Botanical Garden, the Arch, Washington University, and the Zoo, and everything was close by.
The host, John, is very friendly. It was nice of him to give us snacks to eat during our touring of St. Louis.
No problem in walking in and out even during late hours. The area seems pretty safe, so no worries about that. Because it is at the end of the road, parking is real easy.
It's not a 5-star hotel, but it is a great place to make memories.
Thanks to John for showing so much Aloha, being an absolutely amazing host and going above and beyond the call of duty! As a host myself I think it knows what it takes to make a nice travelling experience for someone. The treatment my daughter received while staying with John exceeded all expectations. She was travelling alone for auditions and was a little stressed. He picked her up and dropped her off while being (in her own words) "super nice and very hospitable." Mahalo for taking such good care of my daughter, John!
Alison it was like I said to your actor-"Your visit is just the right break in my routine! Whenever a spritely spirit lands at Nine Miles West,I know something else good happens too. Besides a shave and a haircut,I got my own thinking up- and will now make contact with old (email hidden)sides"Life Machines 2016" and a revived writing/performing adventure,we could call it comedy if another unintentional tragedy emerges...Shakespeare-(a distant relative to many of us,not just those here in the States) could observe then," -and sometimes greatness misses us".
John was amazingly friendly, kind and accommodating when I needed a home base in St. Louis while attending a seminar. At the last minute he had to leave town unexpectedly, but still left me the key for the house along with helpful house and area tips. I'm sorry that I did not have the pleasure of meeting him in person.
The house was on a quiet, modest neighborhood street within a mile or so of major shopping and dining areas. It served my purposes well.
I had a fantastic stay at John's house during my time in St. Louis. John is a incredible host and is very keen to make your stay at his place as comfortable as possible. He is a very (very, very...) funny guy with an awesome knowledge of the City. During my 4 weeks internship at a law firm in St. Louis John drove me every day to the law firm. On my free days he showed me a lot of areas in and around St. Louis, for example the community of the Amish near Bowling Green!
John's house, located in a quiet area, is clean and comfortable. If you need to buy something, you can ask John to drive you to the next Wallmart or just go by yourself to Schnucks, which is only 3 minutes away from John's place.
John taught me "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" - it's probably the reason why you find always apples in his kitchen :)
Thank you John for making my stay at your place so wonderful. I really enjoyed this great time!
John was incredibly friendly and helpful, and frequently went out of his way to go above and beyond his job as a host without being intrusive. He was very knowledgeable about the city and gave some great advice as well. The room was very comfortable and clean, as was the rest of his home. Overall great experience.
John was the perfect host. He was kind and generous and really helped make my stay in St. Louis pleasurable. He gave me an appreciation of the city that I could not have gotten on my own.
John also made me laugh - always a big bonus with me.
The house was clean, Mr John drove us around to locations we needed to be at and was very warm and welcoming.
The house was kept up very nicely!!
Had a very plesent time at John's house, he was very welcoming and offered to take me where ever I needed to go. He really opened his house and fridge to make you feel at home.
It was an incredible amazing experience.John is such a kind , warm and considerate people! The rooms are quiet and comfortable.
John is a wonderful host and makes you feel right at home quickly! I arrived after a long day's drive, and John is just the personality that makes you feel comfortable. I didn't get to talk with John much, but he was very friendly. He had two other folks staying with him through AirBnb and there was a great feel to the place. Would recommend it to others.
