  • Layne is a true AirBNB pro. She was professional, quick to respond, and accommodating. The house is just amazing, adorned with her amazing work and other pieces of art and decor in every corner. Very clean, comfortable, and cozy.

  • This place is like a beautiful little museum (though not at all stuffy!) Layne has amazing pieces of art (by her and others) up in every nook at cranny. The place is big, very clean, and very comfortable.

  • A wonderful artists' loft in a great and walkable location. Lots of character and easy access to great restaurants.

  • Layne was a wonderful hostess! Her loft is very warm and inviting, with so many interesting things to look at. She is quite a talented artist and some of her work is displayed, along with many other eclectic and vintage objects. She happily accommodated our late-night arrival and early morning departure, making us feel very welcome. Her loft has everything you need to be comfortable for your visit, furniture and beds are very comfortable, even the pillows were wonderful! We felt very safe in the neighborhood, 1/2 block walk to the corner bus stop which took us to the heart of downtown and/or Navy Pier, with easy access to Metra trains. Lovely tree lined, quiet neighborhood. Easy walk to many neighborhood shopping areas. Cross Chicago avenue, turn left, and 1/2 the block down is a Hispanic bakery you will not want to miss!!! Go get a variety for your morning coffee. I would not hesitate to book with Layne again, and certainly will if we come back to Chicago. Thanks for sharing your loft with us Layne, we had a blast!!!

  • Layne's apartment was perfect for our needs. Very comfortable, clean and with everything we needed. She was also really organized with a written list of food suggestions and directions for the house. She was also really helpful with questions I had.
The neighborhood itself is great. Short walk to lots of restaurants, shops, etc. Getting to the metro is a bit of a walk for those moving around the city a lot. We ended up taking cabs downtown.

  • We enjoyed our week stay in Layne's large, funky, artifact-packed, interesting, and fun second-floor walk up loft in the Wicker Park neighborhood. She met us when we arrived and showed us how to find and or use the several items including an old-jazz record collection and turntable, which we loved listening to. We were also met with a set table, bottle of white wine and basic snacks enough for a full meal. She then stayed available by cell phone for the entire week, and we had, for us, a perfect combination of hospitality and privacy. Wicker Park, for first time Chicago visitors, is distinctive enough to be portrayed in a hilarious sketch at one of the Second City performances. It has excellent El and Taxi availability, and a half block away is an excellent old fashioned pharmacy should you need it. It was a great stay.

  • My wife and I would highly recommend staying here while in Chicago.
The loft was as pictured and very comfortable, with great art everywhere. Layne is a pro at making out of towners at home with local information and travel tips at the ready. She was great communicating with both before and during our stay. We'll come back again for sure.

  • My husband and I booked Layne's beautiful artist's loft and loved it. It was filled with interesting items and art, the large floor plan was totally comfortable for us, and when our friend visited, we sat and talked with a sense of spaciousness. The double bed was comfortable, and although we sleep in a king at home...we had no problems. The bath/shower was lovely, too. We found good food nearby and when it came time to get a cab to the train station we were there in minutes. We liked the location; and we very much liked Layne, too!!

  • Layne's flat worked out well for me. My daughter lives a block away, and i wanted to be nearby. The flat is spacious with small bedrooms; the double bed was comfortable with plenty of warm layers. The bathroom is roomy and colorful with a good shower and nice towels. Heat worked very well.
I had a dinner party (with Layne's permission) which worked very well, although the counters were a bit problematic. All in all, a great place!

  • A fantastic apartment, lots of space, ideal for the 3 of us (with a double and a single room). Layne was very friendly and helpful, offering us advice when we wanted, but leaving us to get on with discovering Chicago on our own. We were able to enjoy Netflix movies and Pandora music on a large screen. We also enjoyed the Ukrainian Village, Wicker Park, Bucktown area - lots of quirky shops, cafes and restaurants! I'd highly recommend this apartment!
