Interaction with Guests
Someone on staff will be on site between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM to open the gate, give you your keys, show you how everything works and give a few recommendations for places to eat or things to do and see. We usually have someone on staff during the day to help out, but we do not have a formal reception or concierge to assist with tours, transportation and bookings. Once you have your keys you are on your own to come and go as you please.

This place is a gem! It was so welcoming and the staff so friendly. I was happy to stay here!
This place is perfect. The pictures are a true representation of the place. It has a really great feel to it moments to the villages restaurants, bars and shops.
I would stay here again.
Drift was a perfect experience--I wish more hotels were like this! The property is beautiful and simple, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the owners and staff couldn't have been friendlier. The shared kitchen space was beautiful, and provided a place to easily talk with other guests without feeling trapped in awkward conversations. Drift also provided great suggestions of restaurants and activities in the area. As a solo traveler, I felt that both myself and my stuff were completely safe. Can't stop raving about Drift!
My husband and I had a great experience at Drift! The Staff were extreme friendly and helpful. Drift makes it so easy to relax and enjoy the area and included all the touches to do so: Fresh-ground make-it-yourself coffee, fresh squeezed OJ, beers and snacks on the honor system, all sorts of equipment for the beach, etc. The hardest part was choosing between exploring the area or sticking around to enjoy the peace of the courtyard. On some nights there is a Mezcal tasting, which everybody should do!
I'll definitely be looking for another excuse to stay with them again in the future!
I was booked into Cabo for a bachelor party and it got cancelled. So, I decided to go solo and when I heard about Drift it just seemed like a great place to stay.
The staff and owner are very welcoming but not intrusive. You are given all the tools you need to get out and snorkel, ride bikes, explore the area and/or just sit on the beach with a cooler and read.
Everything has been thought out really well and depending on what night it is there's typically something fun going on. Just ask.
Advice: You might bring nice clothes for going out at night, Drift is right in the middle of a fancy Art district and I found myself feeling a little under dressed at times. Also, I'd say renting a car and/or having access to one is key to fully exploring the area.
Hope to come back soon! Muchas Gracias guys.
We were greeted by our very friendly host, Angelo, and as he toured us around the property we immediately fell in love with the decor. The place was a completely unique experience for us. Everything from the simplistic concrete shower with exposed copper plumbing, to the communal kitchen, to the mezcal & tequila tasting every night. Plus it is conveniently located next to all the shops and amazing local food.
Staying at drift has been the perfect experience. As a person who doesn't like to be around the tourist masses when traveling, drift offered a good balance between the comforts of a resort hotel and the adventure of venturing out and experiencing the lands.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and made sure we were taken care of throughout our entire stay. The people we encountered were also friendly and conversation was always interesting. The tequila tasting and food truck that came was also a big plus and a lot of fun.
Overall, I highly recommend staying at drift for anyone who is interested in coming to cabo and wants to experience it in a way different and other from everybody else.
