This cozy bedroom sleeps one or two in the most comfortable queen sized bed. Bring a book or two and read by the living room fireplace, or explore nearby Old East Village and Downtown! This quiet, cottage-like urban retreat will truly feel like a home away from home.
Original hardwood floors and fireplace make the living room a welcome place to rest, read and wind down. Or, if you'd prefer to sit outside, enjoy a cozy patio set overlooking a large, fenced in backyard (this house is dog friendly as I have a friendly one already - plus two kitty companions). If the weather permits, enjoy a fire in the yard and enjoy the cottage feel while staying in the city!
A clean, carpeted lower level will be your home while you stay, and of course, fresh bedding and linens will be provided.
Spend a night in and watch some cable TV, or read a book in the living room.
The house is walking distance to Old East Village, home to some unique antique shopping and wonderful independently owned restaurants. Ideally located close to Highbury, it is very accessible to the HWY, and is similarly a 5 minute car ride away from down town. Or, weather permitting, borrow the resident 1970's super cycle (basket included).
When you wake up, enjoy a tasty and quick cup of Cuisinart Keurig coffee, and grab some breakfast food to take with you, or prepare here and eat in the dining room.
Guests have access to: kitchen, bathroom, laundry, BBQ, fire pit, Cable TV, Wireless, backyard, parking in a shared lane way.
When I stay somewhere, I like to roam about on my own, and I offer just the same to my guests! I will generally be around during a guest stay. Feel free to come and go as you please, but also don't hesitate to ask for anything you need!
The house is snuggly tucked in a quiet cup-de-sac in a war-time neighbourhood. Bungalows and 1 1/2 storey homes make the streetscape charming and a joy to walk around, and just around the corner is Old East Village - one of London's historical prides.
Public transit is a short walk away on Highbury Avenue. One of the main arteries of London, Highbury will get you from here to there quickly!
I have a friendly pooch and two feline friends, so animal loving guests are welcome! We'd also welcome your dog-loving-cat-loving pooch if you don't want to leave her behind.
Leanna was a fantastic host! She was very friendly and welcoming, and everything was very clean. When my cab didn't arrive for an important interview in the morning, Leanna was quick to offer me a ride. What a lifesaver! Thanks for a great stay!
Leanna was very accommodating with move in and move out times. The house itself was very cozy to stay in. I had the entire basement to myself, which had its own living room with a TV, and some very comfortable couches. The room itself was clean, neat and better than any 5 star hotel. It was fun staying there for a few days. Leanna was nice enough to provide breakfast and was great company at the end of the day. Thanks Leanna. Hope to stay at your place again on my next time to London!
Leanna's house was was great. It was easy to find and well located. She had a welcome basket in the room with maps of the area and information about London. She was easy to communicate with and very helpful.
We parked easily in the driveway then headed in. This was only our 2nd Airbnb, which we told Leanna, but she was already treating us as if we weren't strangers. We met her cute dog Sophie and one of her friends, then later her cats visited us. There was a good breakfast spread of coffee, bagels, bread, and cereals. In the bedroom was a full basket of brochures and maps of London, and on the nightstand were our towels with 2 chocolates! The bedroom was zen-like and the bed smelled botanical. In the morning we showered and told Leanna of our travels before heading out. It was a pretty nice stay :)
Leanna was a friendly and very obliging host and we totally enjoyed our stay with her and her pets. It felt like visiting an old friend and so it was easy to feel like home. The room is the basement and it is such a cozy one! Leanna welcomed us not just with towels, water bottles and sweets, she also prepared a basket with maps and tourist information stuff about London and a tiny selfmade book with all the necessary information about the stay (about her and her pets, Dos and Don'ts, Wifi-Password...). We are glad about founding her on airbnb and can absolutely recomment her if you need a nice and comfortable stay in London, ON.
