Great check-in experience

Just round the corner from The Junction with its bars, restaurants and coffee, the Hütte is at the base of Mt Ruapehu. With a lockable garage it's perfect for storing mountain bikes, pushchairs and of course skis, and has a roaring woodburner for the end of a day skiing, hiking or biking. There is now a heat transfer system to the downstairs meaning the woodburner heats the whole house.

Ideal for families with the large open plan kitchen, dining and living area, large bath and fenced decking.

The space
Bedrooms 1 and 2 both have queen beds, bedside tables and wardrobes with access to a side deck.

Bedroom 3 has a bunk with room on the floor for mattresses (stored under the beds) or a portacot of your own.

A baby gate for the top of the stairs should you need one and the fire has a fence to keep little hands away.

There is complimentary wifi and a PS3 which you can use to access Netflix on the TV for those days when outdoor activities aren't an option

There is parking for 3 to 4 cars, including the driveway, parallel to the front of the house and the grassy area to the left of the driveway.

Ohakune, Manawatu-Wanganui, New Zealand

You are just a walk away from the Junction. The Powderkeg and Kings are less than 5 minutes walk, along with a selection of places to get coffee at walking distance.

The river walk is right at the end of the street and is ideal for a basic off road pushchair.

I'm from rural Waikato and my husband from the UK. We love Ohakune both in summer and winter for both relaxing and skiing, and the occasional visit to the pub. We love to travel both locally and overseas (when we can) and know how much staying in a house or apartment with hosts who can give you local advice can make a trip. Please let me know if you want any information for your trip.
