I love melinda's house. She is kind and fun. She has a lot of energy. I play with her cat. Also her house is very clean and comfort. Thank you :)
My sister and I very much appreciated our stay with Melinda. She's a delightful, helpful person. I liked the room. The neighborhood is great. Shops, restaurants, parks, and a harbor are all within a short walk.
Melinda is a great host. very friendly, generous and energetic. the rooms are nice, and have plenty of daylight.
As a first-time Air b and b user, I was a bit uncertain as to how this thing would work. I think Melinda may have spoiled me! She was very responsive to all communications, including my request to change dates at the last minute to coordinate with my son coming to town. I felt very welcome, comfortable and safe in her home. The room itself is spacious with great views - it could use a little sprucing up, perhaps a coat of paint. Melinda is very friendly and willing to share her knowledge of the area.
This neighborhood of stately, well-kept older homes (even mansions) is in a great location, with plenty of on-street parking. Grocery stores, restaurants, and a bus line connecting to the trolley are all within short walking distance. The only drawback is that it's in the path for some flights taking off from Lindbergh Field.
I would definitely stay with Melinda again!
Melindas place had a nice location if you're by car. The place is extremely noisy from the nearby airport. The room itself hadn't been cleaned for a while but was liveable. Bath was ok. No breakfast as promised. Dirty kitchen.
Mikkel just submitted this review three weeks after their visit to our home. I consulted w/ airbnb as to their comments and learned that they did not contact them w/ any concerns to them or me (as they apparently were not concerns at the time). I contest a few points that they commented on: my location is also ideal for using public transportation: the bus stop is 100 meters across the street. The taxi to the airport is available; any car can be parked right in front of our home. This home has no extreme noise around here; a plane can be heard overhead for 7-8 seconds if it goes in our direction. They stayed in the largest, most desirable room upstairs. The wood floor is clean; a foot rug is there. Breakfast is NOT an amenity listed; YET: I offered to all: bagels, cream cheese, butter; yogurt, juice, and tea. That is always promised and available. The kitchen is being used by two other airbnb guests and we wash and clean the dishes per usage. People's foods are on one counter as per their request.
Good location to start your trip from southern California. My Mom stayed three nights and Melinda was very welcoming and helpful.
Melinda was a great host! She was accommodating and was always there to help. She was very open to questions and helped me figure out what to see in the San Diego area. She was always very courteous as a host. It was a wonderful experience for me.
Staying at Melinda's was good. She was really flexible about check-in, check-out time. She let me use the kitchen, bathroom, and store my surfboards inside. She also lent me her foam roller and mat, when she saw me stretching. Her place is not super clean, but it definitely feels like home. She also has good tips about stuff to do/eat in/around San Diego.
Melinda was very timely in replying to any of my messages and a welcoming, friendly host! The room was large, clean, and well lit, and after I closed my windows against the airplanes I slept soundly.
I had a great experience at Melinda's house. She lives in a typical sandiegan house and its neighborhood is clean and beautiful . Melinda is a very kind and helpful person. Definitely, I would stay there again.
