About this listing
Quaint B&B located on the South River, with a deck overlooking the river. Full kitchen, private bath, living room and bathroom. Great coffee bar with used bookstore and vintage items located next door!
This space is a one bedroom apartment, so you will have your own private space. There a small kitchen, so you are welcome to make your own breakfast, we keep it stocked with eggs, coffee, tea, bread and juice. On weekends, we, generally, leave some homemade scones.
Interaction with Guests
We have someone around most of the time and we provide phone numbers so we can be reached if anything is needed, but we try to respect our guest's privacy. The apartment is such a peaceful private space, most guests seem to have their own agenda and want to recharge when they are here.
We are in the center of a very small town, so we are convenient, but our house sits back from the road and a small river borders the property, so there are sounds of nature a babbling brook to create a nice ambiance. There is a Coffee Bar and a spectacular library within walking distance.
We really enjoyed our stay in this charming, cozy apartment. Everything was exactly as described and the kitchen was so thoughtfully stocked for our stay. Jim was easy to get a hold of and very responsive. We only wish we could have stayed longer! What a great place!
Thank you so much, we wish we could have met you, but we had promised to pick a friend up at the airport and were not home when you arrived and you left so early, I didn't have the fresh warm scones made yet. I hope the balloon ride was wonderful, I am glad the weather was cooperative.
Perfect, cozy spot for a wedding weekend stay in Conway. Loved it and the hosts were very accommodating.
We loved staying with Chris and Jim. Their unpretentious but tidy apartment, part of their lovely old village house, had the real feel of old New England, with nice antiques (the marble top dresser reminded me of my old family home) and a wonderful, private deck next to a babbling stream. The fresh-baked scones and muffins that Chris left us most mornings were absolutely delicious. And Conway is a special place -- quiet and peaceful. Don't miss their daughter's cafe next door. If you want a really authentic Berkshire hill town experience, with chickens and fruit trees out back and a wonderful, friendly couple right next door (and they can give you lots of good advice about the area) then try this place.
This beautiful, very comfortable apartment is in the historic area of Conway and a perfect base for visiting the area and not far from Shelburne Falls and The Bridge of Flowers. Jim and Chris were very friendly and helpful and outdid themselves with the fully equipped kitchen and refrigerator full of breakfast goodies. They even had one of my favorite white wines chilled! Chris made delicious, fresh scones each day. I enjoyed sitting on the patio near the running stream. I would definitely stay there again when I am in the area.
Two years in a row we return for a 3 weeks stay! just to say - it's perfect! Great hosts, great place, great cookies too, freshly baked with love!

Peaceful, quiet, clean in picturesque little town in the foothills of the Berkshires. Generously stocked fridge. Lots of privacy. Recommended!
The flat, the neighborhood, the experience - everything was off-the-charts and unexpectedly wonderful. Chris/Jim left the kitchen stocked with some basics (eggs, etc!) and also made us the most incredible scones (and APPLE PIE!). We wish that we'd had more time in Conway, as it's so very peaceful to be here. It's otherworldly in the best of ways. The flat itself also has a beautiful selection of candles, the best lighting, and a wonderful balcony (that you can see featured here in the photos). Chris/Jim also were great about giving us privacy but also being available when/if we needed them. For that and so much more, we remain most grateful.
Thank you so much Muira for the great review and nice comments. I am sorry, but I don't give out the recipe for the scones, as I bake them for my daughters' coffee bar, which is right up the street. (Pages Coffee Bar) I made her a promise that I would refrain from giving out the recipe. I loved the way you were so considerate in your communications, ie, when you were later than expected in arriving you let us know.
