The studio has beautiful wood floors and big old windows opening up on the garden space. It is a 1928 house, their is a fan but no air conditioning. The windows provide good air flow. It has the flexibility to sleep up four people. There is a bunk bed with the bottom being a futon couch or queen bed. And the stop bunk is a single bed. There is an additional mattress that can be pulled out on to the floor. It is a tight fit for four people. It has a two burner stove, sink, small fridge and a coffee pot. You have a fridge, bathroom, two burner stove, sink, and closet. If you need to do laundry just let us know. You can use the fire pit and patio on nice sunny days also. Also, I just update the highspeed internet modem. So, there is great internet access now.
Interaction with Guests
We are here sometimes at a arrival and sometime not. Our interaction really depends on our schedule and yours. We love to welcome you and give pointers about our wonderful neighborhood, but also give you your space to settle in.
I love Whittaker neighborhood. It has such mix of things to do. You can go to a choice of two different wineries territorial or the eugene wine cellars, both have very nice tasting rooms with love music often. There are many restaurants and pubs- with live music and great food. There is an bar arcade, where you can go and play old pinball and pacman. There is an great coffee shop that has local and vegan options- also live music. There is one of the best desert bakeries in all of oregon- Sweet life. And our local artist open up there studios for a Friday art walk, where many artist serve wine, cheese and crackers. If you want to go on a walk or a hike the path along the river has about 12 miles of path. With a butte to walk up and see a view of eugene. There are rock columns for rock climbing. The river for kayaking, canoeing, tube floating or swimming. And if you need to pick up something at the valley river center mall, it is a short 15 minute walk on the river path. There really is something for every one.
There is a bike path that is about 12 miles in length that goes all over eugene. The mall, cuthbert amphitheater, Autzen stadium, and much more. Every food you could dream of eating or drink you could dream of having is with in a few blocks walking distance.
Other Things to Note
We have two listings. There seems to be a bit of confusion. There is a studio room with bathroom and private access. We also have a listing that is a green VW bus, that can be rented with the studio as an extra space if so desire.
We do allow pets. And it is okay to smoke outside by the fire pit, but no smoking inside. Check in is after 4:00 unless prearranged and check out is by 11:00 am.
Cute, clean, inexpensive place to stay. Next to some great breweries and other attractions. Nice list of restaurants and bars to check out in the neighborhood. Recommend!
We had a great stay, very quaint and unique. Amber was warm and friendly and it was nice we could bring our dog.
My friend and I recently stopped in Eugene to catch a show at the W.O.W hall. Amber's place is in my favorite part of Eugene. We found it to be a lay'ed back comfortable vibe. It was just just what we needed. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great.
The cottage was charmingly perfect & Amber was helpful providing extra supplies on request. Great location & setting. Would return in a heartbeat
Great little pad in Eugene to crash after walking to a few close amazing breweries. Hop Valley is only a block away and one of my favorites. If you are looking for a 4 star hotel this is not it. If you are looking for great value and a great location for beer tasting, this is it. Space was cozy and had everything we needed. The bunk bed was a fun twist.
Sadly, my fiancé and I could night stay there. The towels smelled and felt unclean. Some towels had brownish stains on them. The linens on the futon had a distinct musty smell. We left and booked a hotel soon after we arrived.
Positives are the location. Walking distance to Ninkasi Brewery and the best bar in Eugene, Sam Bonds Garage.
