Stefano's Trastevere apartment is in the heart of this lovely neighborhood. If you want to be in the center of it all, this is a great location. Stefano was helpful with booking and arranging car service for us to and from the airport. The apartment is in an old building and gives you a sense of a true Roman apartment, and the living room is quite charming with it's bright and narrow windows. Some downsides, though. The place was clean, but not sparkling. Scuff marks on the walls and poor lighting in the kitchen made it feel a little dingy. The shower is quite small and in the bathroom without it's own drainage so the bathroom smelled moldy. I don't know if this is a common situation in Rome, but it did make showering a bit uncomfortable. There was plenty of hot water though! Also, there was not adequate supply of toilet paper or dishwashing soap and we had to purchase these things ourselves. Linens were ok, but not great, and not enough hand towels. Finally, and this is no fault of Stefano's, we had an unfortunate experience upon arrival with pickpocketing in the small alley of the apartment.
