hitching a ride on a pedicab. There is off street parking, Colonial Lake within a block, the Ashley River and sidewalk over to the Battery within a couple of blocks....just a fun location where one can open the front door and step into LIVING CHARLESTON......
To answer the question always posed to me....WHY CHARLESTON???? If the ALL BEING had created a better place, he/she would have kept it for him/her self....YOU KNOW I LOVE WHERE I LIVE AND I AM EXCITED TO WELCOME YOU.....Cheryl Taylor
Guests have access to a large master bedroom and private bathroom with shower and tub. Guests may enjoy breakfast in the dining room or on the walled patio. Presently there are two knock about bikes....enjoy a neighborhood ride.
Charleston, the Holy CIty was voted Conde Nast number one tourist destination in the world, 2012...news just released October, 2013,...number 1 in America for third consecutive year.....
Having mentioned this news, the real news ia that wandering the lovely streets just at bedtime or watching the sun rise and set on this city includes all....everyone is peaceful and at home here. Parenthetically, this is not a sleepy town....King street is bustling....whether scooting into your favorite local pub or pedicabbing or walking to a leisure dinner engagement, one notices all things charleston special....the smells, the smiles, the joggers, the students, laughter....people feel special In this city....come see why we and I will be corrected on this...why we don't mind paying taxes....did I say (email hidden)e visit, you might stay! Cheryl
This location is perfect for walking or biking to most attractions. It is convenient to bus stops, within walking distance of the VIsitors Center, and convenient to the cruise lines....book a pre Charleston stay before cruising or stay with us at the finish...a perfect ending to a wonderful vacation.
Our stay at Cheryl's place was very enjoyable. We never actually met Cheryl as we were like two ships passing in the night. However, she made arrangements for us to check in and was in constant communication with us to ensure we were comfortable and our needs were being met. Our room was welcoming and we slept like babies. The location of Cheryl's place is perfect for walking around Charleston. This was our first trip to Charleston and we were quite smitten. We'll definitely be back and hope to stay with Cheryl again!!
thanks sweetness…my sadness that we were ships passing…as busy as this place is, I am thinking I might not ever get to sleep much in my house…fun, exciting, and I really feel connected to you…thanks for the thoughtful comments…so glad you had a great time...please come again…hope I can keep this pace…I will think about every day your …take some time for yourself…we do know each other…love lovely…cheryl
Wonderful location. Beautiful, clean, and nicely decorated home. Cheryl was a fantastic hostess. We really enjoyed our stay.
Wonderful location and space! Cheryl was a perfect host and always available for any questions. I recommend walking about 10 minutes and having dinner at FIG. AMAZING!!!!
With our request less than 24 hours ahead we feel lucky that it worked out as well as it did. Quiet neighborhood, easy walk to historic downtown, convenient parking. We barely met our host, Cheryl, who was busy with work and other commitments. The resulting privacy was ideal for us. The house is beautifully appointed and furnished with antiques. Thanks.
Cheryl's home was both relaxing and fun. The home's decor and comfort combined with easy and convenient access made our time there feel like a retreat. We stayed three nights and enjoyed lingering leisurely each day with our morning coffee. So much to enjoy without leaving the house! The location made it easy to get out and about but still come back throughout the day and evening. It was easy to contact Cheryl if we needed her and sensing that we enjoyed coming and going throughout the day, she surprised us with nice notes and treats from time to time. The beauty of staying there was the outstanding combination of convenience, comfort, privacy and welcoming hospitality.
Thanks loves for such sweet and flattering expressions...I am so energetic about this new adventure....to share what I love and o meet new people and to see what each is enjoying in their lives...so inspiring..again thanks for taking time to express that you had a memorable stay...my pleasure to have been a little part of (email hidden)ay in touch...cheryl
Cheryl was a lovely host...she's so generous, warm, and made us feel very welcome in her home (which, by the way, is beautiful). We loved the cookies and wine she left for us. The location of her home is perfect. We're glad we didn't rent a car cos everything is within walking distance (~20-30min) and you get to see so many beautiful houses/neighborhoods this way. Would definitely stay with Cheryl again next time we're in Charleston. Thank you Cheryl!
Some tips for other guests: 1) highly highly recommend the walking tours by Oyster Point Walking Tour. we did the Civil War one and the guide was super knowledgeable (my bf is a civil war history buff and even he came away impressed!). 2) Charleston has so many amazing restaurants...we particularly enjoyed FIG and SNOB.
I'm so glad I stayed at Cheryls home! It is very beautiful (as is the neighbourhood), and Cheryl is such a great person!
Cheryl, thank you very much for the hospitality, the ride through your beautiful city and the great conversations!
I would totally love to return!
Location was great, we easily walked to the Historic Area. The king bed was very comfortable and the house was very cute. Cheryl is a very busy lady but a very fun person. Wish we had more time there.
Cheryl was the most welcoming, and the neighborhood is beautiful. I walked all over downtown. Nothing I needed to get to was more than a mile away, and the walk is beautiful in this area.
Can't wait to go back to Charleston and when I do, I know where I'll be staying.
