Cheryl was a great host! This was our first Airbnb experience, and it was quite positive overall. The room and bathroom were clean, and the location was great for us (walking distance to restaurants, bars, activities). Cheryl clearly communicated check-in instructions, parking, and all the relevant details. She was having home repair work done while we were there, so the house was hot during the day -- she called us throughout the day to update us about the situation and when the AC would be back on (which actually didn't affect us at all, but it was so nice of her to tell us!) Our only "caution" about the space is for tall people: the shower head and chandelier in the bathroom are pretty low ;) Thanks for a great visit Cheryl!
Cheryl was very nice and welcoming! Our room was very clean and comfortable.
Location is in a nice part of town, very close to south Broad. Room was nice and clean. Excellent value for the money. No locks on the bedroom door was not comfortable for me.
Thanks for the kind remarks and for a pleasant visit....I don't have locks on anything and I live here with all my things available...until I have to the nature and goodwill of my guests gives me the joy of trusting...I appreciate the suggestion but the getting locked out has been a real hassle...I do keep the straight chair there to slip under the door knob...cheers...y'all were delightful
A great place to stay in Charleston next to Colonial Lake. Cheryl was a fantastic host, going above and beyond what I expected of her. If I'm ever in the city again I would definitely stay here!!
This home was exactly as described and is all of the things that make Charleston magical. Beautiful and welcoming, the home is so very charming and is appointed with lovely and unique pieces throughout. The bed was very comfortable and the linens soft and inviting. Our host was gracious and as charming as her home. Will definitely book here again.
We never met Cheryl during our stay. The home was as pictured, but a note at the entrance to living room let us know that the downstairs was NOT for public use. Our room was very comfortable with private bath. This room is upstairs for knowledge of others. There are NO locks on Door!! ! I found this uncomfortable, as others are staying across the hall. The cute garden that is pictured can only be accessed from leaving front and walking around outside of house. For us, this was NOT a walkable location to most areas of the city. Bus routes are 6-7 blocks away. I abided by the house rules but was unhappy that we could NOT eat or drink inside the house. I am respectful of others property and this rule was inconvenient for us.
Cheryl is such a nice person and the rooms are amazing. She makes you feel very welcome, can give a lot of advices where to eat (we tried two of them and it was pretty nice..good food, not too expensive, not too touristic..just great) and the room is very cozy and clean. Also the distance to the historic district is very short (about 10 - 15 Minutes to Meeting St walking), so you can walk and enjoy all the beautiful old houses.
Sure, there are a few rules for the guests, like not bringing own food and beverages, but finally its good that they are existing, because they ensure that everything stays in the good condition they are at the moment.
However, if you really want to enjoy your trip to Charleston and are interested in meeting a very nice host, you should stay with Cheryl.
