To experience Fairfax at its best, Home Haven is a good place to start. Amongst shady trees and curious forest animals is our home. Charming views in all directions make it easy to appreciate our quaint community and vast open space. We offer gardens, ponds, decks, and a fabulous breakfast.
2 Rooms for $150 or 1 Room for $85/89
There are two rooms available. We offer a reduced rate for double occupancy. If interested, check out "Two Birds One Nest." Our home is etched into a mountain and we share it with birds, deer and a variety of natural foliage. The decks out front provide a spectacular view of mountainous, wooded surroundings and a quaint downtown area which is just a 10 minute walk down the hill. Whether you enjoy mountain biking, fine wines and great restaurants, or simply an opportunity to get back to nature, this is a good place to do it all.
Our home was built in 1920 and is filled with happy memories. There are flower gardens, decks overlooking the town, a small orchard with various seasonal fruits. It is a good and relaxing place to spend time during the day and rest your head at night.
Guests will have access to a small jacuzzi, wireless internet, a small shed to store bikes, several decks, a living room, kitchen and bathroom to name a few. We have a Pack & Play highchair and toys for a small child. Additionally, we have a foam mat for an older child (7 and under) to sleep beside the bed.
Rob and I are a social couple who love traveling and meeting new people. We also enjoy cooking and look forward to providing breakfast each morning with fresh eggs from our chickens and hand picked fruit from our orchard.
We have two rooms available. Each has one twin bed, so we can accommodate two people at most. The rooms are small and quaint with many windows to appreciate this beautiful surrounding. It is a quiet and tranquil experience where most often the only noise is a gentle breeze or the sound of me cooking in the kitchen.
We hope you come and enjoy it with us soon.
What an absolute joy corresponding with joy about a future stay in her lovely home! She went above and beyond host duties and I appreciate her willingness.
Joanna's room has a great view of trees. She is very nurturing, and gave me freshly baked persimmon walnut cookies. The next morning, she made excellent eggs (from chickens in the yard) and biscuits. She told me a story of a hen that kept sitting on an egg hoping it would hatch, so she got a day-old chick for the hen. I really felt taken care-of, and will stay there again.
Such a Lovely Home shared with a Lovely Couple opening their home. Joanna and Rob are very sweet and nice, and we thouroughly enjoyed our stay overlooking Ross Valley and the town of Fairfax. The home-made biscuits, and breakfast each morning were delightful extra touches. There is a 10 minute walk down a footpath to town, and a 20 minute walk uphill to miles and miles of Mt. Tam Wilderness. An Old World charm we will always remember. Thank You!
