1 Room for $89
Our home is etched into a mountain and we share it with birds, deer and a variety of natural foliage. The decks out front provide a spectacular view of mountainous, wooded surroundings and a quaint downtown area which is just a 10 minute walk down the hill. Whether you enjoy mountain biking, fine wines and great restaurants, or simply an opportunity to get back to nature, this is a good place to do it all.
Our home was built in 1920 and is filled with happy memories. There are flower gardens, decks overlooking the town, a small orchard with various seasonal fruits. It is a good and relaxing place to spend time during the day and rest your head at night.
Guests will have access to a small jacuzzi, wireless internet, a small shed to store bikes, several decks, a living room, kitchen and bathroom to name a few. We have a Pack & Play highchair and toys for a small child. Additionally, we have a foam mat for an older child (7 and under) to sleep beside the bed.

Beautiful Mediterranean like view of Fairfax hills, small desk with fruit, cheese & crackers as a snack. Fresh bottles of filtered water.
Joanna and Rob are wonderful people and gracious hosts. The accommodations and view were as described. A delightful place to stay especially if your up for a spirit rock event. I will be staying again and hopefully soon.
I had a lovely stay at the Birds Eye View with Rob and Joanna. They have a beautiful home and prepared beautiful breakfasts with fresh eggs from their chickens and fresh homemade yogurt--both the best I've ever tasted! They were both kind and thoughtful people. It's also a beautiful and easy walk from their house into downtown Fairfax.
Joanna and Rob are very warm and gracious. The house is lovely and charming and reflects the love they put into it. The view is wonderful and yes, the rising sun out the window along with perfect coffee in the morning is just the best. While we had interesting conversations and Joanna took me with her to movie showing, I also was also able to just read in my room in the evening and recover from my wonderful intense days with my granddaughters!
I needed a weekend break from the city and their place was perfect. It was warm and welcoming and everything they said it would be. They actually weren't in town while I stayed there but were nice enough to let me stay, even leaving granola, yogurt, and fruit for the weekend. They have a beautiful garden and yard with amazing views. I dont know if I spent more time inside or outside.
I will definitely being staying here again. :)
This was a perfect airbnb experience. Joanna and Rob are wonderful hosts and people, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them. The room and house are exactly as described and very comfortable and pleasant. Fairfax has the ideal combination of small town friendliness and charm, amenities like a superb natural food store and organic restaurants (all less than a mile from the house), and close proximity to gorgeous hiking trails. I would without hesitation recommend this place to any solo traveler who is capable of climbing stairs.
Parking is on the side of a narrow street, which can be a challenge for a large vehicle -- my mid-size sedan fit ok, and larger vehicles can also fit, but the larger the vehicle the more patience and/or skill you need to get it into the spot.
Joanna and Rob are great hosts. Joanna was effusive and gracious, so warm and welcoming. I felt at home right away. She offered me lots of delicious food and made sure I had everything I needed. The house is lovely and charming, with gorgeous sweeping views. I felt cozy and enchanted here and woke up very happy. Joanna was very accommodating and sensitive to my health issues and really cares about her guests. She has a gorgeous garden and will show you around if you want to see it. The bathroom is shared but you might not notice it, it was not an issue for me. One thing to note is that it is on a hill up many stairs, and Joanna was great about coming down and helping me park in the dark on the curvy road and find my way up to the house.
I feel lucky to have found this lovely place and wonderful hosts! I also took a short drive up the road to an amazing hiking trail through a gorgeous forest- it was completely quiet, no one was there. Close to nature and hiking as well as town, a lovely place to stay!
This was such a warm experience and such an immediate and genuine connection. Joanna and Rob are extremely personable and so thoughtful. I felt so cared for and really enjoyed the conversation. The stay was very true to its listing, and I cannot wait to come back. I'm so happy to have been welcomed into this home and cannot wait to come back!
