The lodge is completely restored from being and old smithy with earthen floor to its present modern but rustic style. It is now a unique holiday house in an idylic location that contains all you need to have comfortable break from your everyday life.

The space
Located directly on the riverbank on the premises of an active farm with animals and many historic old buildings. It contains;
- three bedrooms
- 2 bathrooms (one is found in the sauna-building
- kitchen/living-room with and a big old restored fireplace as the centerpiece
- a "glass-room" with glass even above your head that offers great views.
- a small upstairs loft for sleeping.
- a sauna building is located next to the main house.

The farm was established around 1770 on the fertile and flat land on the bank of the river Glomma where it makes a bend approximately 1500 meter down from Kvennan Camping. The river in this area is rather shallow and wide. This combined with the existence of a number of small islands in the river has created a very attractive environment especially for fly fishing enthusiasts.

Guest access

This area is one of the few remaining regions in Europe where the ”semi nomadic” summerfarm tradition is still practiced. From the middle of July every summer, hundreds of farmers move their milking cows up to their summer farm in the mountains. Several of these summerfarms (Seter) are open for visitors.

The World Heritige site, Røros is only a short drive away. Sometimes called a ”living museum” - the old mining town is famous for its well preserved architecture.
