2 bdrm cottage at Hallett Cove. Close to the McLaren Vale Wine region, Victor Harbor, 1.15mins to KI Island Ferry Terminal. Bus nearby. Brighton Beach, Flinders Uni, Local shops nearby. 30 mins drive to the city or 15 minutes to Glenelg Beach.

Self contained 2 bedroom home, sleeps 5 (6 with a fold out sofa bed) with private gardens and sea views from the front of the home
Large main bedroom with Queen size bed, LCD TV and a 2 way ensuite bathroom with separate shower and full bath tub.
The second bedroom can sleep up to 3 in a Double bed and single bed. There is also a fold out sofa bed available which sleeps one person.
Large lounge area with a 42" Plasma TV/DVD, separate dining/2nd family area (& 3rd LCD TV) and full kitchen facilities, including a Nespresso Coffee machine (with starter pack of coffee pods) oven, grill/cook top and a microwave.
There is a bus stop near the front of the home which will take you to Adelaide City, Brighton Beach, Train Station and shopping centres, including Westfield Marion and Hallett Cove Shopping centre. The same bus also stops at the Flinders Medical Centre or Flinders University.
The home is only 15 minute drive to our beautiful McLaren Vale wine region, 1 hr to Kangaroo Island Sealink Ferry at Cape Jarvis and 45 minutes drive to Victor Harbor.
If you love the beach then the home is a 5 minute drive to beautiful Seacliff & Brighton Beach with a great selection of restaurants and cafes. Glenelg Beach is approximately a 15 minute drive away.
Bedding, bath towels and basic supplies are provided. We usually sneak in a few luxuries like a pack of Nespresso Pods, milk, raisin bread and Tim Tams.
The property is not serviced daily, however there are laundry facilities (top loader washer) in the house.
A porta-cot and high chair is available upon request - cot linen is not supplied.
There is off street parking for a small car under the roller door carport. A medium sized car will also fit with careful maneuvering or you can park in one of the other off street car parks.
WiFi Internet is provided at no charge.
Check in: around 4.00pm but can be earlier if the home is ready earlier (luggage drop and key collection can be from 11.00 by prior arrangement) - Late night arrivals can also be accommodated.

The area of Hallett Cove itself has geological significance as it is one of Australia's most outstanding geological and archaeological sites. The Hallett Cove Conservation Park is nearby, where more than 1,700 Aboriginal artefacts have been found. There is a self directed/signed walking trail which describes the park's cultural and geological heritage, including evidence of an Australian ice age some 280 million years ago. The outstanding glacial pavements along the northern cliff tops are recognised as the best record of Permian glaciation in Australia and have international significance. There is a fabulous walking trail which extends from nearby Marino to Port Stanvac with seats along the way and fantastic view of this beautiful area.
This is a large 2 bedroom home with 2 living areas, 3 TVS and private front and back garden. You have the whole home to yourself.
Guests have exclusive use of the home and front and back garden. There is also a roller door carport for a small to medium car.
Interaction with Guests
I am available if needed usually by text message or via email. I have a "day" job so it may take an hour to reply.
Look after the home. Be security conscious - make sure you lock doors at all times and ensure windows are closed when you are away from the home.
Please leave the home in a similar condition to what you found it. If you do not wish to leave the home in a similar condition please do not book. The cleaning fee we charge is for linen laundering and pressing and wet area clean and minor fine tuning. If you do leave the home in poor condition and we can not meet our obligation to next guests then we will charge an extra night accommodation from your bond to cover relocation of next guest and extra cleaning charges will apply at $30 per hour (our costs for the cleaner)
Any problems report them to the owner immediately.
Crockery and utensils to be left clean and put away. Cooktop, & oven to be cleaned if used. Same with microwave. Internal bin emptied. Fridge emptied and wiped out. Any litter dropped, please pick up and dispose. Dishwasher to be emptied.
Bins to be put out on the kerb on the regular collection day (Thursday night) and brought back in.
Long term stays have the option of a mid stay clean of wet areas (at extra cost), otherwise please clean the bathroom regularly to avoid build up of soap scum.
If you use the washing machine please make sure you shake out any sand from your clothes before placing in the washing machine as this causes damage.
Report any damage and be considerate of neighbours.
No smoking indoors, cigarette stubs to be disposed in the bin (after extinguished)
In the warmer weather if you have booked for longer than 7 nights I ask you to turn on the garden sprinkler a few times during the week.
No noise or parties please. Sounds like no fun :-( ....but the home is in a residential area with lovely neighbours and I don't want them unhappy.
I got chatting to my host when I requested for an invite to apply for the residence for holiday. Krissy is an amazing host. Very accomodating, caring , approachable, and like a friend. She was available to answer any concerns and give advise anytime I emailed or texted her when I arrived. She has a beautiful, loving home, nice and cozy . Overlooking the sea. Quite neighbourhood and I got to chat to the nice looking neighbour 3 doors down. Very friendly. We never felt as visitors but like friends staying over. I would recommend anyone to stay at this beautiful home. Krissy you are amazing and thank you so much for sharing your home with my family and I. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for making this a great experience.
Kris was a very helpful host. The property was very clean and well equipped for our family of five. All the little extras in the house were greatly appreciated. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again.

We have 3 listings, so please take a look. 2 of our homes (Hyde Park & Glandore) have easy access to our beautiful Adelaide City being within 10-15 mins away. All 3 homes have excellent public transport nearby.
The 3 bedroom Glandore home has the local tram which will take you direct into the city or Glenelg beach within 15 minutes. It also has buses nearby. It runs every 15 minutes. The Hyde Park home is a 10 minute bus drive with local buses only a 10 minute wait. The Hallett Cove home has a bus stop near your door which will take you to Brighton Beach, Flinders Medical Centre Marion Shopping Centre and the Aquatic Centre to name a few. It is approximately a 30 minute drive to the city and close to McLaren Vale wineries and the southern areas of Adelaide. All the homes have off street parking for 1-2 cars.
All our homes have private gardens (Glandore is particularly large) because we like the outdoors ourselves and they are all ground floor level because we have creeky knees :-) perhaps you do too!
