Deuxième Maison has been lovingly renovated and offers all the comforts of home. Close to the Med, local lakes, Beziers, Pezenas and Montpellier and all that this fantastic region has to offer. Perfect for cyclists, wine lovers, and foodies!
We are located in the centre of the village and steps away from a small range of shops and the village wine co-operative! Deuxième Maison, our 3 storey village house faces onto the street, where you can sit on the terrace and watch the cyclists go by - or join them for a spin in the rolling hills.
You will have the whole house to yourself and this includes the kitchen and a cosy snug on the 1st floor and a large living room on the top floor. There are 2 superbly appointed bedrooms, with large double beds and plenty of wardrobe space. The cupboards are stocked with essentials such as olive oil, condiments and a range of supplies that you are welcome to use. There is plenty of parking out front or in nearby streets and whilst there are buses from Fontes to Beziers and Pezenas we recommend a car to get around. The garage on the ground floor has easy access to the street and is ideal for storing cycles and riding out into the surrounding countryside.
Interaction with guests
We have a friendly English speaking couple in the village who will meet you and give you keys. They can also buy in supplies if you are arriving late and can assist you if there are any problems. When you make a booking we will forward you a copy of our House Book, and can answer any queries or give advice about the region before you arrive.
Other things to note
We are happy to negotiate a reduced rate for winter stays or for periods longer than a month. The stairs are not steep and have hand rails but there are 3 flights.
Tread lightly on the first set of stairs as our neighbours living room adjoins the staircase. No smoking in the house please and no pets.
We have recently moved back to Australia after 9 years living and working in the UK and spending a lot of time in France. My partner and I love travelling, gardening, golf, cycling, and have a house in the south of France that we go to whenever we can. We love the lifestyle, wine, weather, history, and people of the Languedoc!
