The apartment is well located, at the corner of Park Lafontaine and many main streets, but on a adjacent calm street. You can live everything the Plateau as to offer! The apartment is in a old beautiful house with a backyard.
The apartment is an awesome location where you can experience Montreal as locals.
It's located in the Plateau, the area in Montreal with the most interesting bars, restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Also walking distance to Downtown, the Old Port, McGill University, Rue St. Denis, Rue Mont-Royal and much more.
But, have absolutely no worries about noise because the street I'm on is really really quiet!
I have the big La Fontaine park at the end of my street where you can go and relax.
So you can do everything the Plateau area of Montréal has to offer!
Near, there's a metro station (Sherbrooke) 5 min. by foot.
Grocery store, fruit store, bakery, shops, bars and plenty of restaurants by foot (the famous Pied de Cochon restaurant is 1 minute by walk!).
Also, their is plenty of bixi station ( public bicycle sharing system) near by! One is just at the corner of the street!
Also, you can park your car for free in my street.
The apartment has an old feel and comfy.
There's a fully equiped kitchen
And a garden in the back.
Welcome to my house! Here’s how the house works:
Please leave them on the table when you leave and lock the door only with the handle lock. Please only lock the handle on the front.
The other lock is weird, it takes me hours myself to be able to get the twist to open it, so you might get stuck if you lock the big lock from outside. Please make sure you lock the door. It’s a safe neighborhood but the door pops open with the wind sometimes when it’s not closed properly.
You’ll find a big blue bag behind the trash. The trash is to the right of the fridge.
We have a wifi. I'll leave you the information in the house.
4. Non-smoking house
I have a baby daughter, so it’s very important to me.
5. My daughter’s room
Don’t go inside my daughter’s room, except if you have children and you advised me before renting the place.
The bowls, plates and glasses are in the top shelf. The pans and cassseroles are in the lower shelfs near the floor.
Please dont use metal wear in the non-sticking pan. Wash your dishes. don’t leave them in the sink.
You are held responsible for any personal losses or damages to the house and it’s contents.
Friends are not welcome to stay overnight.
9. Arrival and departure time
Arrival time is 11h a.m. and departure time is 12h pm.
Also, please text me if you think you're going to arrive later then you though. But please let me know when you think you're going to arrive in the city and we'll try to arrange something convenient!
10. Noise and backyard rules
It’s a quiet, residential street with many family homes. Mine is an old house so we have to be careful with the noise on late nights. so no loud music or being overly loud after 10h pm. The backyard is private, but you have to be respectful of my neighbors so don’t stay too late and talk loudly in the late evening. my next door neighbor’s bedroom window is just overlooking the backyard so you have to be careful and respectful. To let her sleep, I ask not to be in the backyard after 10h30 pm. If you want to continue having
a glass of wine outside, you can go in the front steps... it’s less of a problem there. It’s mainly house rules because I’m in good terms with my neighbors and I want to keep it that way!
Enjoy your stay!
Joani was quick to respond and extremely helpful, and her place is as perfect as advertised. The apartment is on a great street in a great neighborhood, walking distance from all sorts of parts restaurants and bars which are easily found thanks to Joani's recommendation map she provided. I'd love to stay here again next time I return to Montreal.
Joani's apartment is beautifully decorated, very clean, equipped with everything you need, and has a wonderful backyard. The location is excellent, within walking distance of many attractions in Le Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood. Really close to the subway (Mont-Royal and Sherbrooke stations), and one block away from a beautiful park called La Fontaine.
She was a wonderful host. She greeted us upon our arrival, explained the basics of the place, provided great recommendations on things to do, and communication prior to our arrival was easy. She was also very accomodating to our time of arrival. All in all, an A+ experience: I would highly recommend you to stay at her place. Chapeau!
Joani is a great host. Her place is quaint, well appointed, and centrally located. We were minutes from all the action but her street was very quiet which was nice. There was also ample parking in the area. The only downside was that there was almost no pressure in the shower, but being in an old home this is somewhat understandable. We would consider staying here again in the future.
Joanie was accommodating, friendly, and helpful. She went out of her way to make my trip comfortable and easy- from being flexible with the time I arrived, to lending me a membership card for an art supplies store she recommended. Her place was beautiful - bright with lovely design. The area was great as well - quiet but close to restaurants, stores, transportation, and a beautiful park.
Joani was helpful, accommodating, and flexible. Her apartment was wonderful and was a restful haven for us during a very busy week. We recommend her most highly!
Decided to go to Montreal for a long weekend with my gf, and Joanie's place was great. Fantastic location in the hip Plateau neighborhood, close to the subway, parking was easy. The apartment itself was nice and clean, a bit on the small size, but perfect for those looking for a comfortable place to lay your head after running around Montreal all day. And the back yard is a nice bonus!
Joanie herself was very communicative, easy to get a hold of, and left great info on the neighborhood and Montreal as a whole, including an awesome hand drawn map. Extremely helpful
Joani's apartment was lovely, comfortable and clean! It was a great place to stay in a lovely neighbourhood. The apartment is on a cute, quiet street just a short walk away from great cafes, restaurants, shops, bars, bakeries, Bixi bike stands, and one of the best parks in Montreal. Merci Joani!
