History of architect and Adobe:
In 1945, Weber returned to Santa Barbara with the intention of going into semi-retirement. Initially, he and his wife, Erika, lived at 270 West Alamar Street (City Directory, By the mid-1940s his residential designs had abandoned “the Streamlined Moderne style for a personal version of the woodsy Bay area mode” (Gebhard & Von Breton: 1969, 44). Some of his Santa Barbara residential commissions during this period included the historical adobe located here in 1947. Unlike his residential designs, however, his commercial work continued to reflect his prewar industrial aesthetic, which continued to demonstrate his commitment to Modernism. In 1963, eight years after the completion of his last residential commission, the Wakefield house, Weber died in Santa Barbara.

Hi My name is Carla. I modeled in New York City as a young woman. Traveled around the world living in many exciting cities and great towns. Experienced different cultures. It was a great time. Then I went back to school to get a BA and a MBA. I worked as a marketing director for a Santa Barbara company for 7 years. Then I met my husband and we have a beautiful daughter. She's the best thing that ever happened to us. We have a beautiful home up in the mountains and we love renting it out. Enjoy :)
