About This Listing
This super-hidden, crazy private cottage is an amazing little thing. Your own tiny house!
Hard wood everything, loft bedroom that walks out onto a second-story porch, and easy access to the hippest stuff in Austin!
It's a for-real tiny house, eclectic all-wood floors and walls. The downstairs is a living room, kitchen, and bathroom, and the ladder leads to an attic bedroom with access to the upstairs porch! Please keep in mind that this is a house actually made out of wood, and despite regular and professional cleaning it is a little dusty. Please do not confuse this for dirty!
The entire inside of the tucked-away property is a secluded garden area surrounded by high fencing. Hang out nude!
Wifi, street parking, private kitchen & bathroom
I'm always available to chat or hang out or whatever! Check my other Airbnb property and you'll see that I'm a font of great info.
The Holly Street area is, scientifically, the best neighborhood in Austin. Cool peeps, fun stuff happening, other fun stuff in easy casual distance.
Rainey Street, Dirty 6th, and Hipster East 6th bar scenes are all a short walk (or shorter bike ride!) away.
The bus stop is totally nearby. That said, we may be able to round up a couple bikes- everything is very close and it's a very safe neighborhood.
Be clean & courteous to the space! The whole thing was very lovingly built by hand by the original owner, and we are very careful to maintain it's charm.
Please sign our guest book when you leave!
No parties, no extra guests, no animals.
Please do not smoke cigarettes in the house or on the porch. If you do smoke, please throw your butts away rather than leave them in the yard or on the street.
And of course, be respectful & courteous of the neighbors- they have young kids & go to bed early :)
From Mar 1 - May 31, 2015 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
This place definitely is adorable! The loft is so cozy and the bed is super comfy. The back porch is a nice place to chill and it was a great spot to just relax. It's fairly central and easy to get around without a car. Would stay here again, though it could have used some more TLC in the cleaning department. We did not meet the host but everything was clear and organized for us. Thanks for the stay!
Amazing location, only a super short walk to all the trendy bars along 6th E, can walk down to downtown. The cabin is beautiful day with a real magical vibe. Decked out amazing with a super cute balcony that feels like you're in a treehouse. Jason was super helpful and a great host. Would 100% return to here, was a fantastic way to start our trip in Austin! Loved our experience there.
First of all I love the neighborhood and the house is really cute and funky but that is it. I wanted a funky place. I don't know why I'm the only review who felt this place needs serious cleaning. We saw a cockroach in the kitchen. It was not dust that we saw. The garbage cans were never emptied. The fridge wasn't emptied and there is a bag of food in there that was really really old. Jason just had a baby so we didn't want to complain and since we only stayed two night and didn't spend much time at the place we decided not contact him. I wish I had because I'm sure he would have tried to get it cleaned up or given us a refund. I feel bad about not contacting him earlier. My friends talked me out of contacting him since he just had a baby. I'm not asking for a refund I just don't think this place is clean and we only came in to sleep not to party. The housekeeper Jason uses has not been cleaning. Jason should also check up on the place before someone new comes in. It was $90/night a night and I could have gotten that price some place 4 miles away that would be a lot cleaner. We left the place how we found it so Jason can imply we left it a mess but we didn't hang around long enough to do that. I just want to let everyone know this was my experience only and obviously I'm the only one who feels that way. I'm sure if I had contacted him this might have been different so this is partially my fault. However the place is still dirty and I guess I'm the only one who cared. Also, bring shower slippers you could slip in the bathroom.
Great neighborhood, perfect size place for a couple, very hospitable.
First of all (wow, starting a review with "first of all"! Original!)
The house is beautiful and amazing. All I could think was, "I could live here. This could be my house."
The furniture is as comfortable as it is cool and I love all the little details around the house (make sure you say hi to Ziggy Starfox). The location is great and my host was very helpful and hospitable.
