A Special Place. Romantic, Quiet, Tucked Away.
A refuge from the City, in a safe neighborhood, minutes from Santa Barbara, and world class pristine beaches!
The cottage is architecturally preserved and built to last. It has lots of storage cupboards, and the charm of the 1940's. Original hardwood floors throughout, french doors and oversized wood windows. An efficient gravity heater warms the house without a sound, so that the orchestral display of sound from our visiting bird population can be heard throughout the day. No need for air conditioning. We are blessed with a Pacific ocean current even on the warmest days. There is a full bath, with shower and tub, a bedroom with large windows and a pull out sofabed in the Living Room for 2 additional guests. The surrounding gardens are mature, with 12 foot high honeysuckle hedges, bougainvillea, trumpet vines and trees. The moment you step onto the property, you feel a sense of serenity and calm, as you are enveloped with greenery and perfumed air. Privacy, peace and a stone's throw away from all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay in lovely Montecito, which in Chumash means "little woods".
The Burnham Wood Golf Course is less than a block away.
If you arrived without a car, there is a Santa Barbara bus transit system that stops 1/2 block away to take you into Downtown Santa Barbara. Driving, you are close to everything: beaches, hiking trails, shopping, restaurants, and more.
