My husband and I stayed with Christie and Richie this past weekend (Feb 21-23) and had a great time! We arrived late Friday night and let ourselves in quietly. On Saturday morning we were greeted by the very lovely and friendly Christie and Richie, they are so kind and welcoming! And we definitely enjoyed playing and petting their dog Nala. On both Saturday and Sunday morning they offered us breakfast. We had a full day of skiing planned so we were gone most of the day and although they offered us to use their kitchen and cook for ourselves for dinner, we opted to go to Black Cap Grille for dinner, a recommendation by them.
The bedroom that we stayed in was very cozy, the bed was comfortable and I felt like we had our own private nook. I would not have enjoyed sharing the bathroom with another couple, but fortunately no one else was renting the other room in their house. Next time I would like to come stay here and use their snowshoeing path! Definitely recommend staying here.
Thank you Caitlin for your lovely review. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. We would love and look forward to having you back for a snow shoeing adventure. A quick response to "sharing the bathroom". We want all of our guests to be comfortable and check first, with both parties, before booking the second listing. We would never want anyone to be surprised by issues of privacy. I want to thank you for mentioning this, as it is important to have it be clear.
Christie and Ritchie were great hosts! They were amazingly helpful to us when our car got stuck in the unexpectedly heavy snowfall on their driveway. We had lots of fine conversation and the house itself is unique: eclectic architecture, cozy and warm. Beautiful rural setting with snowshoe trails right outside the door. And we loved the animals in attendance. We had a very nice visit with a very nice couple and highly recommend them.
It was such an awesome stay! The guest room is very sweet and cozy. The hosts are friendly and the access to the kitchen was particularly helpful to us! Would come back again next time when we are in the area.
It was a the week after a very thick snowfall that we ventured up to the northeast corner of nh. When we arrived around 11pm at Christie & Richie's perfect cabin, we were surrounded by the beautiful and refreshing New England air whipping through their picturesque 200 acre, white mountain property. The door was left open, the beautiful wood burning stove left on for us. A rustic, yet cozy home which served as a perfect end to a long nights drive!
When we woke up the next morning, we were greeted with a hot cup of coffee and friendly conversation. What started as a 4 strangers conversing, quickly led to friends sharing life tales, stories and lessons. We couldn't have been more pleased to stumble across such a perfect fit for our weekend getaway.
During our stay, there was never a time where we felt uncomfortable to ask anything of Richie and Christie. The most hospitable AirBnB stay I have ever experienced. Although our ski plans were ruined by inclement weather, Christie was nice enough to fix us an incredible impromptu meal (because the roads were too dangerous). On top of this, Richie stood out in the cold and freezing rain just to adjust the antenna for enough tv reception to watch the Patriots game. A testimony to the type of people they are. Just amazing.
We couldn't have asked for a better stay. These people are truly good, through and through. We will definitely be back. Not sure when, but this won't be the last visit. 5 stars, full recommendation, this stay is an absolute must!

We had such an amazing time at Christie and Richie’s! We cannot recommend this highly enough! Their house is amazing, really a special place in the woods. Not just a house, but a place with a lot of character and charm. Christie and Richie were the most amazing hosts, it has not been often that we felt so welcome and at home in someone else’s house. We slept very well because of the quiet and the extremely comfy bed. We had some nice talks by the fireplace and at the kitchen counter. Christie took us snowshoeing in the woods (they arranged the snowshoes for us) together with the dog. But they also give you all the space you need to be on your own if you want to. She baked some cookies for on the road and prepared a delicious breakfast every morning. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace with their lovely dog and funny cat. They had lots of tips for things we could do. I could go on and on, we absolutely loved it!!
It was a pleasure staying with Christie & Richie, who welcomed us into their interesting and wonderfully located home. We arrived during the fall season to be enchanted by the beauty of the golden leaves as they fell from the trees in such an idyllic location. Both Christie and Richie were friendly, chatty and extremely helpful to us as we planned out trip around the greater North Conway area. Nahla (their beautiful dog) was friendly and camera shy ! and their cat, Rudy was indifferent to the two travelers from Ireland. We were privileged that Christie shared her Father's private WW II era scrap book with us after we found a common interest in veterans and their experiences of that time. We have great memories of our brief visit to Christie and Richie's home. Well recommended, go and visit them !
What fun visiting this amazing home; the design, the rich colors, the indoor gardens, the wall hangings and more. Three nights was not enough to appreciate. Our bedroom was comfy and private. The queen bed had a 3 inch foam topper, Ahhh! All the linens for bed and bath were soft, lush and plentiful. The bathrrom just outside the bedroom had all the essentials and more (cue tips, floss, nice soaps, etc.). Rich tasting coffee and access to tea greated us every morning. This location offered peace and quiet even though it was busy Columbus Day weekend. And we were no more than 30 min. from all the mountain hikes we planned. Our hosts, Christie and Richie were warm, informative and teated us like best friends. We would not hesitate for a return stay!
