Christie and Richie are absolutely wonderful - they go above and beyond for their guests and made us feel so welcome. Their home is beautiful, and they make everything guests need available. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend the opportunity to visit this beautiful home and meet these warm, friendly hosts.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Shire! Not only is the house warm (many thanks, wood stove) and inviting, but Christie and Richie were incredibly gracious hosts. It also doesn't hurt that the animals are just so damn cute. We highly recommend staying here, and we certainly hope to again given the opportunity!
Christie & Richie were wonderful & their home is just beautiful! They are nestled away in a very peaceful, beautiful area of New Hampshire. Although we had nice conversations with Christie and Richie, they were so quiet! Felt like we had the place to ourselves. Our bathroom and room were both very clean, and everything was very comfortable. We were left a whole bunch of yummy choices of organic cereals, fruits, jams and homemade bread each morning. Christie & Richie were great with giving us suggestions on where to hike & eat (Black Cap Grille was delicious!) The amount of love and passion put into building and making this beautiful home truly shows! Thanks again for having us, Christie & Richie! We hope to see you in the summer!
Christie and Richie are terrific, and their place is beautiful. I had a terrific time meeting them, and the only drawback to my stay was not their fault. They list on their ad that they have cats, and somehow I missed it. Hence, my visit was cut short because I'm allergic. Nonetheless, I feel like I've made friends who live in the most picturesque spot in the world. I want to live there!
The booking was super spontaneous on the day of our arrival, first time that I used the instant booking feature. In addition I never stayed at a superhost's house, so expectations were quite high. What shall I say? This was our best airbnb experience so far. The house is cosy, room really spacious with an (almost) attached private bathroom. The location is soo idyllic and perfect for exploring the white mountain area. On rainy and chilly days it's still lots of fun to hang around at the place, have a pot of hot tea and chat with the two lovely hosts and their awesome pets (I fell in love with Nahla, the dog). Wish we had more time at Christie's, but we'll surely return in summertime to check out Richie's grilling skills!
We had a lovely experience staying with Christie and Richie. The house is amazing the room huge and the breakfast A+. Christie is very organised and puts every effort into accommodating her guests. Wish we had more time to appreciate the beautiful setting this is a place you don't want to miss.
Christie and Ritchie have a beautiful space. The surroundings are wonderful and the home feels so welcoming. Christie (and Nahla, Wynnie and Rudy - the family pets) greeted us warmly and showed us all around. The room was spacious, comfy and situated right next to the bathroom in it's own wing of the house, making it quite private. We were given full access to the home and trails. We enjoyed talking with Christie and Ritchie and both made excellent recommendations for restaurants, hiking, etc. Loved hearing about the history of the "shire". Breakfasts were yummy, with homade baked goods from Christie.

We are avid trail runners, hikers, gardeners and outdoor enthusiasts. Richie and I raised 3 children and are proud grandparents. Our home is our sanctuary and, though we love to travel, we are blessed to live in this beautiful place. The experience of being airbnb hosts has surpassed all of our expectations. It is truly gratifying for us to share our home.
