About this listing
Double bedroom with private bath on private floor offers a solo/double traveller a welcomed shared accommodation and opportunity to feel the comforts of home while experiencing the beautiful location of Victoria.
In the heart of historical James Bay, within 2 blocks of the Royal BC Museum, the Inner Harbour, Parliament Buildings, and Pacific Undersea Gardens. Chinatown and the Maritime Museum of British Columbia are a short 10 minute walk. Enjoy Beacon Hill Park just one block away or the ocean front of Dallas Rd a quick 6 minute walk. An easy find from the Inner Harbour Ferries or Float Planes; easy location for airport shuttle drops/pickups.
The location offers tons of public transportation within a few blocks. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops around, but feel comfortable joining me for a coffee/tea in the morning or putting a few things in the fridge.
In addition to the bedroom and bath on a private floor, there is also a desk and computer available. A small tv is located in the bedroom, but with all there is to do in Victoria you may not get an opportunity to turn it on!

I was greeted and felt so welcome. My host was gracious and respectful. I had just come from a retreat and had wanted a quiet place. Her home was immaculate as was the bedroom and bath. I loved that it was a shoe free zone. I forgot to take mine off but Deborah was lovely in that she didn’t mention it. My best experience yet with Airbnb. The location was perfectly located for getting to the ferry in the morning. If I was there to visit for a few days it would have been a perfect location for that too. Felt safe in every way. Highly recommend Deborah and her accommodation.
Deborah's home is absolutely gorgeous and in the perfect location! The pictures do not do this place justice. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, cozy, beautifully decorated and even had brochures for things to do in Victoria. The bathroom is not connected to the bedroom, but it still felt very private because we were downstairs from the rest of the house in our own corner. Unfortunately, Deborah was ill and we didn't interact much during our short stay. However, she provided clear walking directions from the bus stop and instructions on how to get into the house/room, came down to make sure we had everything we needed, and gave us the perfect dinner recommendation at Tibetan Kitchen! You definitely don't need a car to get around Victoria. We walked almost everywhere and took the bus a few times (many bus lines and water ferries run from downtown). It is a little difficult to get to the airport from here (about 1 hr away with a bus transfer that doesn't run frequently, unless you packed light and can walk 1+ mile to the airport at the end), so plan accordingly! The ferry, on the other hand, is easy to get to and there is a direct bus line very close by. Despite being in the heart of downtown Victoria and its many tourist attractions, the immediate neighborhood is quiet and the perfect retreat after a long day. I highly recommend staying with Deborah!
I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay at Deborah’s bnb. She offers a spotlessly clean and cosy place nestled in a heritage part of Victoria, and her hospitality is most welcoming, friendly, and professional. I’m already recommending this place to others.
Deborah is a very friendly and kind person. She gave me helpful advices regarding Victoria tour, which made me easier to book the tour bus and walk around the downtown area without getting lost. She seemed busy with her work, but she warmly welcomed me and I could feel she did her best to make my stay comfortable. Besides, the location is just perfect, just a few blocks away from the Fairmont Empress. I would definitely stay again if I visit Victoria in the future!
Deborah's place is beautiful and perfectly located in downtown Victoria - I was able to walk everywhere. The room is quiet and private (located on a separate floor), and I had a great night's sleep. It was also a pleasure to meet Deborah. She is a kind and helpful person and I was made to feel very comfortable in her home.
This location was very easy to find and the room is very clean. Deborah gave very clear directions on finding the direction. Upon arriving, Deborah was at the door to greet me and show me the room and how to get in and out of the house. She offered me tips on what to do in Victoria (which was extremely helpful), and then we chatted about life and shared some stories. I would defiantly recommend this place, and defiantly stay there again if I'm back in Victoria.
This is a great place to stay. The location is perfect, close to everything. Room was super clean & nice. Overall the experience was great. This was my first airbnb experience so I was a bit nervous, but would do it again in a heartbeat. Deborah is super friendly and is an excellent host.

About the Host, Deborah
I am also an airbnb host from Victoria, BC Canada (sorry not a French speaking one!)
I enjoy the outdoors and experiencing new places and new people. Staying and hosting on airbnb has afforded me a new comfort level with just how honest and wonderful people are.
