House - Private room · Government St, Victoria, BC V8V 1P4, Canada

The Space

Double bedroom with private bath on private floor offers a solo/double traveller a welcomed shared accommodation and opportunity to feel the comforts of home while experiencing the beautiful location of Victoria.

In the heart of historical James Bay, within 2 blocks of the Royal BC Museum, the Inner Harbour, Parliament Buildings, and Pacific Undersea Gardens. Chinatown and the Maritime Museum of British Columbia are a short 10 minute walk. Enjoy Beacon Hill Park just one block away or the ocean front of Dallas Rd a quick 6 minute walk. An easy find from the Inner Harbour Ferries or Float Planes; easy location for airport shuttle drops/pickups.

The location offers tons of public transportation within a few blocks. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops around, but feel comfortable joining me for a coffee/tea in the morning or putting a few things in the fridge.

In addition to the bedroom and bath on a private floor, there is also a desk and computer available. A small tv is located in the bedroom, but with all there is to do in Victoria you may not get an opportunity to turn it on!

  • This hostess goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable. She respects your privacy, but also makes herself available if needed. Its a great place to stay because it is near the park, and downtown. Minutes to walk to the sea shore.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Deb's house. She has a friendly, warm and generous personality, and made me feel very at home. The room and restroom were in impeccable condition and very comfortable. As soon as I got there, she offered to give me a ride to my bus stop as I wanted to go to the B. Gardens. Deb is a really wonderful hostess and I strongly recommend anybody looking for a neat and friendly place to contact her!

  • We had a warm welcome from Deborah, couldn't ask for a nicer host. We shared our travelling stories and had a nice stay in her room. Located right in the middle of downtown in a very quiet neighbourhood.

  • Deborah is a great host and the kindest person ever. Her house is very beautiful and the room is cozy and clean. She saved our life with a last minute reservation and we had a wonderful talk with her about Victoria, Vancouver Island, Italy and...everything! Heartily recommended!

  • Deborah was warm and welcoming and we had several pleasant conversations. She spent a lot of time with us orienting us to Victoria. Her home is charming, located on a residential street, but very close to downtown and within walking distance to the ferry landing, Fishermen's Wharf, whale watch and kayak tours and also with easy access to the city bus routes. The bedroom and bathroom are on their own floor and were also charming. Deborah's home was perfect for our visit and met all of our expectations, and we would certainly stay with Deborah again on any future visits to Victoria.

  • It was really a perfect retreat for me and the host was wonderful. When I go back to Victoria I will stay there again. The location is great very close to downtown, the harbour, the museum and the sea. You can walk everywhere.
The bedroom is nice and quiet. You have your privacy with your own bathroom. It was very nice to share the kitchen and livingroom with Deborah. She offered me tea and salad. And I liked very much talking with her - more a friend than a host. She is very helpful in everything and accompanied me to the floatplane station.
    Thank you very much!
