Phillip Island is a delight for nature lovers, with it's wildlife and beautiful beaches. Surf beach is central to all areas of the island and is just a 10 minute drive away from the greatest attraction on the island, the Penguin Parade. The Koala Conservation Centre is just a couple of kilometers down the road and the shearwaters are nesting in the dunes down the end of the street.
Phillip Island is also a mecca for motorcycle enthusiasts as the venue for Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
These web sites are a great resource for finding out more about everything the Island has to (website hidden)
The v-line bus stops at the general store, just 5 minute walk away and runs to /from Spencer St in the city.
There is also a regular bus service running from Wonthaggi to the island
Other Things to Note
Please note that my kitchen has a very small bench top oven, big enough to heat a small pizza, roast or cake but not bake a feast. It does have all other cooking facilities that you may need, 4 electric hotplates, microwave, bbq etc.
** I have WIFI however we are limited to ADSL2 and connection can really slow down when there are many people on the island, but this is the best they have to offer on the island.
The house is available for single night bookings, provided it is left super clean. To help keep the cost low, it would be a great help if you can BYO some linen if this is at all possible - e.g kids sleeping bags. It is very costly for me to get all linen washed and dried and I may need to reconsider taking single night bookings. Its also way better for the environment. No problems if you can't as I understand this may not be possible if you are travelling light - just something to consider. Thanks
