The space
A Little Bit of Heaven is a bright, open, charming 540 sq ft getaway suite, in a different building from the main house. The entire upstairs floor is all yours with its own private entrance, and there is no one living downstairs. The bottom floor contains the separate private entry way up to A Little Bit of Heaven, our laundry room (available for you to use), and garage storage.

7 FREE KAYAKS (2 tandems, 4 singles, & 1 youth kayak), a 15 1/2' canoe for experienced paddlers, along with life jackets in all sizes are here for you to have a fabulous experience out on the water! Every day you can launch right from our property at high tide. Guests often see seals who swim along with them nearby, or follow watching curiously, in addition to other wildlife. Enjoy the beautiful Alsea River and Bay, creating memories you will never forget!
When the tide is out, wildlife visitors can most often be seen, depending on the time of year. Most common are blue herons, egrets, grebes, mallards, eagles and several mated pairs of Canada geese.
Sleep in a plush, ultra-comfortable queen bed that appears to be floating in a glorious sky of clouds with its own lighted cloud overhead. The suite sleeps four in one queen & one double bed. There are also two tri-fold memory foam floor mattresses available to use for additional guests, as well as an inflatable bed surrounded by bumpers for children up to about age 6.
We have several baby items available for our guests to use, so they don't have to bring a ton of things from home:

= disposable waterproof sleeping pads
= baby walker with toys on the tray
Well-equipped kitchen has a full-size refrigerator, stove with two-rack oven, dishes, utensils and silverware, pots and pans, basic spices, coffee maker, crockpot, toaster, microwave, waffle iron, coffee bean grinder, air fryer and more.
There are power strips with USB ports and electrical outlets for laptops and other electronics on the nightstand, and on couch end table, along with a bluetooth speaker for your music.
The futon couch folds out into a full-size double bed topped with an additional luxurious gel memory foam mattress topper.
Ten windows fill the suite with light and provide a beautiful view of the forest and our tidal inlet off the Alsea River where it meets the Bay. Eagles nest in a tree right near our property, and frequently fly overhead.
Our laundry room on the ground floor, is free to use at your convenience, and includes basic laundry supplies, iron and ironing board.
Note: Both A Little Bit of Heaven and our other listing, Castaway Cove, are on our property in different buildings. Each has its own private entrance, and is completely separated from our home. If you have family coming for a reunion or a group for some other event, booking both places would be a great way to go!
- Although A Little Bit of Heaven isn't right next to the road, sometimes in the day there may be some sound from the road.
Guest access
The entire apartment suite is for your private accommodation, and there is ample room for parking. The entrance has a keypad door lock for ease of use and safety. Choose your own pin number to use for entry. We will be there when you arrive to show to where on our property to go to get to A Little Bit of Heaven.
Hwy 101 is conveniently close at a mile and a half away, and A Little Bit of Heaven is easy to find.

Depending on the weather, a jacket or warm windbreaker will help you stay comfortable at the beach. Highway 101 has increased traffic during the summer months, but even then, the beaches are still open and relatively empty. Cell phone service can be sketchy in places along the coast depending on who your carrier is, and our internet might sometimes run a bit slow at night, especially when streaming. That's life here on the coast!
We absolutely love living here, and it's a fabulous place to visit!
