Our sweet studio has a comfortable and inviting feel. It is the perfect fit for a couple. A short walk to popular destinations like Russian River Brewery and Historic Railroad Square. Studio is also centrally located for wine tasting trips.
This is a well-lit, private space attached to the main home. In 2013 we completely remodeled the bathroom and studio. There is a comfy queen size bed, and some pleasant seating areas inside. The studio opens into an inviting and tranquil outdoor space that is great for reading, lounging or dining.
Coffee/tea and a hotplate.
There is no television.
Backyard is shared by us, but often private for you. Just let us know if you'd like something special, and we'll do what we can to accommodate.
We love to get to know our guests and of course appreciate the interests of privacy and seclusion. Whether you're just staying for a quick night over, or planning a longer stay, we'd love to take a moment to say "hi".
The Junior College Neighborhood is the oldest neighborhood in Santa Rosa. It is rich in diverse architecture with homes dating back into the late 1800's. The area is great for walking, and has an incredible variety of heritage trees.
The JC Neighborhood is also a devoted and welcoming community of diversity and inclusion. A quick stroll through the streets and you will see what we mean.
Downtown is a 5-10 minute walk, taking you to some great restaurants and breweries. Russian River Brewery, Belly, La Vera, El Coqui Puerto Rican cuisine, Historic Railroad Square, and other ethnic and gastro-pub eateries, are all within a 5-15 minute walk.
We would hope you'd have a good time!
We'd prefer no pets, but it's something we can discuss at the time.
Please smoke outside the house.
David's cozy backyard studio was exactly that. It had exactly what we needed for a short trip to Sonoma County. There was an organized binder of restaurant suggestions to help us out and places were pleasantly within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay.
We loved it! Great little studio with plenty of room, perfect for a couple. Very close to bustling downtown Santa Rosa with all the great restaurants, and especially the Russian River brewing Company, our personal favorite. Check-in/check-out was very easy and parking was plentiful. David was the perfect host, everything was as advertised. We will be coming back! Thanks David
We felt very welcome in this nice studio behind David's place, even received an invite to a birthday party where we met a great group of local people. The studio is as pictured and described. The neighborhood was nice with plenty of street parking for our rental car. Our trip was more beer than wine, as it coincided with Pliny The Younger at Russian River Brewing, just a short walk away over the few blocks from downtown. We walked to downtown a few times and there is a decent diner a couple blocks away. I only regret forgetting my leftover pizza in the refrigerator (sorry about that) when rushing to leave in heavy rain on Sunday morning.
The Cozy Backyard Studio was just as described. Great accommodations, easy access, convenient parking and an excellent host. David was spot-on with restaurants, night-life and other recommendations. Couldn't have been a better experience, exactly what I was hoping for. Highly recommended!
We only stayed a night and wished we had made a long weekend out of it instead -- it was a great space in a perfect location! Thank you, David!
David's place was the absolute perfect spot for a quick trip to wine country. We really wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle, and David's cozy place was the perfect retreat.
The location was great - we were able to walk to dinner and drive to Bodega Bay. The decorations in the apartment itself were well-appointed... I loved the prints on the wall! The bed was also extremely comfortable. David was an informative host, as he had put together a binder of information about the area.
We would not hesitate to stay with David on our next visit to Sonoma. Thank you, David!
Our stay was pleasant, private and comfy. The place overall was pretty roomy and just stone's throw from Russian River brewery. I would definitely come back again.
