Near Boboli garden and pitti palace you can go walking to visit the historic center. Mariateresa was very kind and offered us good indications to find the place. The bathroom is new and big. We would repeat if we go to firenze again.
We didn't see Mariateresa but she was very helpful !
The flat was well located, nice and clean but a little noisy...
The only problem is that the internet didn't work. It was too bad...
Pretty good location to approach a city center. Especially we love the shower room since it was big enough with hot water. Overall everything was good but the internet was sometimes on and off.
The reservation was canceled 29 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Our time in Florence was amazing and part of this is due to Mariateresa's studio.
The studio is located on the south side of the river, about a 20 minute walk from Firenze SMN station. It is relatively easy to find. Once you cross the Carraia bridge you just walk straight and it is on your right. The number are confusing because Residential and Business can have the same address. So as we were walking I had thought we'd passed it because I was seeing numbers higher than the one we were supposed to stay at.
Mariateresa was out of town, so the couple that lives on the same floor let us in. They were very nice and showed us the studio and bathroom. The bathroom is in the main hallway but is private and not part of their living space. So we only saw them once or twice again during the week. The bathroom appears to have been recently remodeled and was fabulous. I will stay the course and say that the shower is fantastic as well!!!
The studio was perfect size for a week. There are the two windows that open to the street and let plenty of light in. They could be closed at night to block out light. Despite being on the street, the noise was quite low. We never had a problem getting to sleep and the bed is very comfortable.
The kitchen was small but more than capable of cooking meals out of. We had at least one meal in there each day. There is a small coffee maker for us to enjoy coffee with. I do recommend having plenty of acqua naturale around for drinking, cooking, etc. Normally we would use the tap water for cooking and coffee, etc but the water had a very strong and strange scent. The closest comparison I could make, is the smell a powered train set makes as it heats up around the track. We did use it on occasion, still safe!
We had an issue a few days into our stay when the B&B below came upstairs to let us know that water was leaking into their place. It turns out the sink in the kitchen would somehow leak water into the room below. This meant we weren't allowed to use the kitchen sink, but it didn't affect the bathroom at all. We just washed our dishes in the sink in there. It was handled very smoothly by the owner of the B&B and Mariateresa.
The neighborhood is great. There are a few small markets and an organic market on the street, as well as a few very good restaurants and a wonderful bakery. Also, Gelato and a vending machine that sells pasta. Walking distance to everything in Florence including the Duomo, Academia, Uffizi, Piazzale Michelangelo, Palazzo Pitti.
Wifi is weak in the room, hallway is the best place to get a signal but the hallway is nice and there were a few chairs out there.
