A private 60-acre ranch setting
Armstrong Spring Creek runs through the ranch, with 60 private acres surrounding the lodge to explore
There is a specific kind of quiet that only exists in Montana—a morning stillness broken only by the gentle rush of the Armstrong Spring Creek. The O’Hair Ranch Lodge, nestled in the heart of the legendary Paradise Valley, is rooted in history and surrounded by jaw-dropping alpine horizons. This luxury estate offers an unparalleled private retreat for those who wish to experience the West exactly as it was meant to be: wild, majestic, and untouched.
The space
Inside, Western warmth meets grand architecture. The main living area features striking ceiling timbers and intricate rock work framing panoramic views of the valley. Expansive windows flood the space with natural light, while a cozy indoor fireplace offers a peaceful sanctuary to relax.
Culinary Haven: Perfect for large groups, the professional kitchen features plenty of space and all the amenities needed for prepping your gourmet meals, a high-capacity propane oven and stove, an extra electric oven, an industrial ice maker, and two commercial dishwashers for effortless cleanups.
Sleeping Quarters: The lodge features 5 beautifully appointed bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. Every main bedroom includes a king bed, (one can be turned into 2 twins) and its own private en-suite bathroom, the queen sofa beds are located next to the main King suites. The main King suites are located north and south of the lodge. Downstairs is the bunk room. This includes two sets of twin size bunkbeds. The bathroom and washer and 2 dryers are also located downstairs.
Walking distance to your very own slice of the Yellowstone River. You are just a short drive from historic downtown Livingston’s art galleries and craft breweries, 45 miles from Bozeman Airport, 16 miles to Chico Hot Springs, and 46 miles from Yellowstone National Park’s North Entrance.
Fly Fishing
Cast your line in the legendary waters of Paradise Valley, including Armstrong Spring Creek, which runs through the ranch.
Private Land Hunting
In the fall, Chimney Rock Outfitters, led by Justin O’Hair, offers premier guided hunts on our private ranch land.
Hiking & Wildlife Viewing
Explore the stunning landscapes of the Gallatin National Forest, Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, and Yellowstone National Park.
Outdoor Adventures
Local outfitters offer guided rock climbing, horseback riding, and whitewater rafting excursions.

Local Attractions
Visit historic Livingston for museums, art galleries, craft breweries, and a vibrant farmers market. Further south, unwind in the charming communities of Emigrant and Chico Hot Springs.
Guest access
While the historic, working O'Hair Ranch spans a massive 15,000 acres, guests enjoy exclusive, unrestricted access to the 60 private acres immediately surrounding the lodge. Stroll along the grounds, fire up the gas grill on the expansive patio, or simply soak in the absolute seclusion and peaceful isolation of Big Sky Country.
Other things to note
Welcome to Your Montana Getaway!
To ensure you have a safe, relaxing, and wonderful stay, we’ve put together a few friendly guidelines for the home. Please note that upon booking, you agree that all guests in your party will read and abide by both the house manual and house rules upon arrival.
A Pristine Arrival
Before you step foot inside, your home is meticulously prepared by Breezy Bees Cleaning and Concierge and fully inspected through Breezewayio to guarantee everything is perfect for you. In the unlikely event that you notice anything amiss or damaged when you arrive, please don’t worry about trying to fix or clean it yourself. Simply snap a quick photo and report it to your host, Tina, right away. By booking, you understand that someone may be over promptly to correct the situation and get it completely sorted out for you.
Checking In After 7:00 PM
If your travels mean you will be arriving after 7:00 PM, please send your host a quick heads-up ahead of time! Staying in communication helps us ensure your late arrival goes smoothly, as the host and owners cannot be held liable for any unexpected check-in mishaps after 7:00 PM if we haven't been notified of your later arrival.
Keeping Safe & Cozy
Shoes Off: To keep the floors clean and cozy for everyone to walk on, we kindly ask that you leave your outdoor shoes at the entrance.
Safety First: Please always use the handrails on all stairs, steps, deck, and patio. For their safety, please never leave children or elderly unattended or unsupervised inside and outside the property.
Fireplace & BBQ: You are so welcome to enjoy the cozy indoor fireplace and the outdoor BBQ grill! We just ask that you only operate them if you are experienced and comfortable doing so, and please never leave them unattended while in use. The dampers of the fireplace must be closed when not in use or birds may fly in from the chimney into the house. 😳🦅
Trash Care: To keep the wildlife and rodents away and the property beautiful, please take your trash to the green dumpsters across the highway, or to the green dumpsters on Strong Lane on the right side of the road as you enter Livingston, just after Rosas pizza, throughout and at the end of your stay to avoid extra disposal fees ($100+). You can find their exact location mapped out in your house manual.
Accidents Happen: If any accidental damages occur during your stay, please just let your host know immediately so we can help handle it.
Mid-Stay Upkeep
Just a quick heads-up that a friendly maintenance team will be by occasionally to mow the lawn and do a bit of light yardwork to keep the grounds looking beautiful for you.
Thank you so much for treating our home with love and care. We hope you have an unforgettable stay!
