  • We planned on staying in one of the standard B&B rooms at Villa le Vigne but when we contacted Andrea it turned out that these had all sold out. We were offered the Stella Apartment instead and accepted. Annoyingly we didn't notice that breakfast isn't included with the apartment, it didn't matter as we grabbed food in the super market in town. Frustratingly there isn't any storage for food (apart from in the fridge) and so we had to keep things on the worktop. We were a bit disappointed that the basics like salt and oil weren't available as buying them for a 4 night stay is a bit excessive. Luckily for anyone who stays there next we left the massive box of salt!

Upon arrival we were greeted with roses on the bed, a lovely touch to help us celebrate an anniversary.

The apartment was clean, tidy and nicely decorated. The TV was unwatchable from the sofa due to where it has been placed on the wall, the WiFi is temperamental but free.

The location is a mixed bag. On the plus: Lovely views, close to Chianti, not far from the main roads. On the downside: close to the uninspiring Montevarchi but not really walkable. There are no restaurants within walking distance.

On the whole we had a nice time. There were positives and negatives but what holiday rental doesn't have both?

  • Villa le Vigne is perfectly located at the cross roads to visit Arezzo, Sienna, and the Chianti regioned. The house is quaint and recently renovated, with a breathtaking pool side view. My only remark would be that the Cantina room is quite small but for a couple it is fine.

  • Site exceptionnel (Oliviers, Vignes), Appart. exceptionnel.

  • What a great experience! We weren't exactly sure what to expect as we drove through a small Tuscan town and into the dark of the country road on which Villa Le Vigne is located. In fact, we got lost (and it wouldnt be the last time). But, Andrea was available via phone to guide us to his property and we finally made it. The grounds are absolutely beautiful - situated atop a hill and surrounded by vineyards. The property is beautiful inside and out. Our rooms were very clean and had more than enough amenities - my wife said that "everything was so cute" which I'm sure is very good. The pool was a God send after a long trip through Europe and we spent a few full days basking in the sun, drinking wine, and floating in the pool.
The best part though was the hospitality that Andrea and property manager Monica showed us. From breaking fresh bread and teaching us how to make "Italian style" espresso in our unit, to doing a personal wine tasting of their own wines - it was all fantastic. I can speak enough about how nice it all was, but I can say that you should not think twice - book it and enjoy one of the best vacations you've ever had. My only regrets are that we didn't have any bug spray (mosquitos were out at night) and that we could only stay for 3 nights.

  • My husband and I had a great time relaxing at Villa Le Vigne. The property looks just like the photos in the listing; we easily recognized it on our way in from Montevarchi. The Primetta room was wonderfully spacious compared to all our other accommodations on our trip throughout Italy. The bed was comfortable, and the farm was quiet and peaceful. Both pool areas were well maintained and very nice to relax in and catch some sun. Andrea and Barbara, Monica and Raphaello were all wonderful hosts. They went over and above to make sure we were well taken care of. We loved getting to know our hosts and the other guests, and we appreciated the information given about the onsite wines at our family-style dinner on our last night. We would definitely recommend staying at Villa Le Vigne to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Tuscany.

  • Andrea and Barbara are wonderful hosts, with a beautiful farmhouse on the hill. Monica, who helps run the show, is also very nice and helpful. The house is gorgeous sitting on a hill surrounded by vines, and olive trees, with immaculate apartments and a lovely pool to relax by. Andrea and Barbara will gladly help guide you around Tuscany, taste the superb wines they make, and make you feel right at home giving you as much privace as you would like. My wife and I have stayed all over Europe for the last 3 months and this was easily one of the nisest places we stayed, great value, excellent location, and hosts that matched. Thanks Villa Le Vigne we hope to make it back some day!

  • A wonderful stay in the country-side of Italy.

Firstly, Andrea, a great host who went out of his way to make sure on a daily basis that everything was ok for our stay. Our car hire fell though and Andrea was able to come and pick us up from Montevarchi Station which is 10 mins away.

The area of the property is very secluded and peaceful and the pool/outdoor space is great. Highly recommend that you have a car to get around.

Do yourself a favour and stay at this great property.
