  • I had a really bad experience here. I was supposed to be let in by a roommate. She had to work, so another neighbor let me in. She did not know the wi-fi password.

Things were in disarray. The bed was not made. Sheets were dirty. The listing did not mention that the room was in the basement with a TINY window.

I was coming back from Africa and had been traveling for 27 hours. I, logically, wanted to take a shower. I found no towels (except dirty ones cluttering the floor). I texted the roommate, asking about towels. She said the host had left none and that I would ned to buy some!

Bathroom was FILTHY. Toilet seat was falling off. Dirty bathtub. Dirty rugs. Toiletries everywhere.

Clutter was everywhere. Empty beer bottles. Half drunken cups of coffee. A bottle of hot sauce. The sofa was so littered with stuff that you could not sit down. One of the chairs had a leg broken off.

The neighbor who let me in said they were having a "little bar-b-que". Translation: a drinking party with loud music. Until 3:38 am. I know because that was when i was finally able to go to sleep and had to get up at six. The party was on a ground level patio literally right outside my window. It sounded like the party was in my room.

The apartment had six or maybe more people living there. It was really a rooming house. I did not know who was supposed to be there and who was not. I felt unsafe. And, since I travel a lot to the third world, I'm really not fearful of much.

Neighborhood is industrial and not commercial/residential. No restaurants, stores etc. close by. No cabs to be had.

I'm not very picky and often choose budget accommodations. But, a hotel I just rented in Ethiopia for $12 a night for a double was far superior.

The above is all fact. This is my opinion. Run the other way and find another place to stay. It was a nightmare.
